Anyone hearing any news or info coming out for the proposed diversion? I know a few years ago they did all the studies and feasability reports, just haven't heard much since....

I am looking at getting Tiger Woods PGA with it, and try out a few other games as well. Is it worth the purchase or overrated?...

Any fishing reports from Lake Salvador area?
Posted by Scrowe on 12/13 at 8:03 am
Debating on whether or not to go fishing or hunting this weekend. The weather on saturday looks to be comfortable fishing weather with highs in the 70's, not to mention the front pushing in. Wondering if anyone had been to the Lake Cataouache/Salvador area with any luck recently. TIA...

Looking for a recommendation on a custom aluminum boat builder
Posted by Scrowe on 7/30 at 12:34 pm
Looking to get a 14-15' custom boat built and the guy that I used before isn't building boats anymore. Any of you have a recommendation for a builder who's prices aren't outrageous?...

Why is it outdoorsmen/women are assumed to be idiots?
Posted by Scrowe on 7/10 at 1:13 pm
Ventured to the poliboard and chimed in on the 2012 coastal master plan and no matter what if you mention fisherman talking about something they always write it off as a bunch of idiots talking with no clue. Guess they don't realize that a lot of those who frequent the outdoors are educated and succ...

My surface drive is having trouble putting power to the prop.
Posted by Scrowe on 6/26 at 1:16 pm
I have a surface drive and the motor runs up rpms while in neutral no problem, but as soon as I put it in forward and try to run the prop in the water the engine bogs down. Any OB mechanics have an idea of what may be causing the issue?...

V-hull or flat bottom for an aluminum boat?
Posted by Scrowe on 5/30 at 12:05 pm
I have a couple of cracks in the hull of my boat and am probably going to replace the boat. It's an old aluminum flat and I was thinking about replacing the boat. I was wondering the advantages to a slight V versus just typical flat bottom. Also any custom boat builder recommendations within r...

Do hydrofoils provide much help to smaller outboards?
Posted by Scrowe on 5/24 at 10:47 am
By myself the boat performs fantastic. It's when I have an icechest, tackle and another person or 2 in the boat, getting on plane becomes a bit of a problem. Once it's up it runs fine though. I have a 4 stroke 30 hp motor and have a bit of trouble when I'm planing off when I'm loaded down, will a...

Question regarding shoes for fishing
Posted by Scrowe on 5/23 at 8:46 am
I've always just wore flip flops or went barefooted when going offshore fishing and now that I'm getting older it's starting to kill my feet not having cushion under them all day on that hard surface. My father has some of the Shimano brand boat shoes and was wondering if anyone had other suggest...

Louisiana law regarding scopes with illumination?
Posted by Scrowe on 1/17 at 3:41 pm
I'm looking into getting a new scope for my rifle and was looking into a Meopta MeoStar R1 3-12x56 RD and was wondering if it is legal to use the scope while hunting whitetail as long as shots aren't fired after hunting hours. I was looking into the scope so I could use it to hunt hogs and coyote...
