| Medical insurance - tax write off? Posted by papz on 7/27 at 11:37 am I get a W-2. My wife gets a 1099. I pay over 10 grand a year for health insurance for my family. Can I write this off with my wife's 1099 since we file jointly? Does it matter if I'm the primary insurer istead of her?
