| re: Anthony Davis' PER bynum is basically as good as a traditional center can be in the neo-NBA when he's healthy basically the only thing that's wrong with him is he could improve his FT% (which was right under 70 and not bad for a traditional 5) Reply Back to Top |

quote: Bynum's no SuperStar. Again, I think Drummond can be good and will get better, but the context of this is will he be better than AD, and if you assume AD reaches his ceiling of top 3-5 player in the league, then no I don't think Drummond will be better than AD. Reply Back to Top |

| I've seen about 2/3s of the Pistons games this year. Drummond is being brought along 'slow' for one major reason. That fact that he is really raw. As crazy as this sounds, another reason that I think he doesn't start is Coach Frank's loyalty to Jason Maxiell (Free Agent) who has been a Piston forever. One more reason is Drummond's conditioning. Not Jim Calhoun, Joe Dumars, or Lawrence Frank thought that Drummond would have near the impact that he has had this season. Tayshaun Prince had a quote about 3-4 weeks ago talking about how Drummond is a really bad practice player. It all just clicks in the games, I suppose. IMO, Drummond looked gassed the last 3-4 games, so I wonder if the long season is catching up to him. He's recovering from a bad back, so I'm interested to see how he finishes the season. No doubt he starts next year. I think Drummond's future depends on the Pistons lineup. He'll be starting besides Monroe, who is the antithesis of Drummond. The Pistons don't need Drummond to be a back to the basket offensive player. They need him to be more "Ben Wallace." So, I predict for the next year or two, we will continue to see his defensive game and rebounding flourish, while he continues to bring his offense around very, very slowly. | That's solid. He will be an animal next season Reply Back to Top |
| Nice info. I want to say I read that Detroit is going to increase Drummond's minutes after the All-Star game since they're out of the playoff race, so we should see what his stat line looks like if he gets closer to 30 min a game. Reply Back to Top |

| As much as we hate to admit it, we aren't the only team who got a potential top ten guy in the league in this draft. Drummond could very easily be the next Howard or Bynum. However, it is interesting that Drummond didn't have nearly the impact at UConn that DAvis had at Kentucky. Combine this with the talk that he's a bit out of shape and a bad practice player, and it seems to me that the odds of Davis continuing to work hard and improve his game and stay in shape are much better than drummonds Reply Back to Top Refresh |
