| Honest question for liberals.... Posted by Scoop You guys won. The United States now belongs to liberals and it will from here out. Now that you have won, are you not scared? It was all fun and games for you, I'm guessing, until you realized that cities are not no longer little incubation tubes for failed liberal policies but actually our future. We are all Detroit thanks to you delusional a-holes. Reply Back to Top |
| They'll be thinned out in the revolution. They have no guns. Reply Back to Top |
| You're delusional if you think R vs D matters that much outside of social issues sort of. Reply Back to Top |

| Substantively the economic policy is similar if not exactly the same....only a dupe would believe otherwise. Reply Back to Top |

quote: I pretty much agree. Maybe a little difference around the edges. But the far right Republicans and Libertarians are a very small minority. Reply Back to Top |

quote: They say different things but at the end of the day they are bought and paid for by the same people. It's a rigged game. Have some of you not figured this out yet? or are you so invested in the R vs. D sideshow that you can't see it? Reply Back to Top |
quote: Which is why the country is heading faster down the trail to disaster because the left doesnt have a clue about being fiscally responsible. But it seems that the left doesnt care about the well being of the country as long as they get their way with social issues. Sad. This post was edited on 2/5 at 10:54 pm Reply Back to Top |

quote: Well, I don't call myself a liberal, but I do live in the city and try to make it a better place since that's where our future lies. Where does the Poliboard live? West Village mostly, right? Reply Back to Top |
| You laugh, but it will eventually come down to a civil war again, but this time it will be class warfare. I pray everyday for my kids and my unborn grandkids. These frickers in Washington(could care less if it's D or R or I)will destroy what this country is. Unless something drastic happens, we will be another piece of shite country in this huge globe that makes up earth. Reply Back to Top |
| Power is the name of the game fellas. Politics is just a farce. Reply Back to Top |

| We haven't won shit!! Sure abortion and pot are legal, but they still aren't mandatory!! Look grandpa, keep listening to your Glenn Beck and Faux News, and convincing yourself that we're all out to get you but deep down in your greedy capitalist heart you know you still own everything and keep all of us free thinkers and down-trodden in true mercantile defacto slavery. Sleep well tonight on your bed of blood money and destroyed lives. But seriously, I wouldn't worry about it too much. America is still the most conservative industrialized country on the planet. You guys are doing pretty good, still no single payer health care and no freedom for those liberty hating queers. Keep up the good fight. This post was edited on 2/5 at 11:20 pm Reply Back to Top |
quote:wut. Since when is freedom entirely dependent on marriage rights? Reply Back to Top |
quote: Don't really have a dog in this fight since I'm not a huge supporter of marriage and I haven't listened to enough NPR to make me queer, YET. But, frick it I'll bite. Isn't marriage religiously a sacrament and legally a contract between two people? So why would the latter be refused by the state to two legally consenting adults based on the definition of the former? Personally, I'd like to see the term "marriage" taken out of the legal realm and reserved for the churches. Then we could simply have civil unions for everyone in the eyes of the state and then each individual church could decide which "marriages" they recognize and which they don't. That stops the whole dumb argument. But that's not the point of this thread, frick liberals!! Reply Back to Top Refresh |
