| took a new job Posted by dallastiger55 and im starting to feel really bad because i feel like i could have gotten more money  on 2/2 at 2:11 pmwhen i was told what the salary range was i got 5k above what they said because that was my offer but when i looked online at glassdoor and other sites it has the average starting salary of my position as 5k MORE than what i got. i feel pretty bummed, in the end it is over a 25k raise but still feel like i left money on the table this was my chance to get more. i just dont know why both the hiring manager and the HR guy both told me the range was 5-8k less than what i got so i felt like i was getting a good deal. | no i didnt but heres what i do know. i know the guy whose place im taking and he got promoted. when i told him what i got he kind of act surprised and said my hands were tied because the company im coming from, they knew what i made. just feel bummed. i hate to be all about the money but i could have gotten more Reply • Back to Top |

| Thanks guys. Most are for it because I'm doing something better for my career and family. If I bonus well I will do really well. We will see. Just wish I would have gotten that extra $$! Reply • Back to Top |

| The HR guy told me the range and I got above the range but glaasdoor has the average at above even what I got. Also I know that the guys place I'm taking he got more money. Pretty disappointed but nothing I can do. It's better than no job. Reply • Back to Top |
