| Is Cowherd trying to get let go by ESPN? Posted by STEVED00 I'll admit that I only listen for about 15mins a day while driving to and from my house during lunch, but it seems his tone towards his network and especially his superiors has really soured ever since he got the boot from his Sportsnation Show. Anyone else pick up on this? I know lame topic but don't care about NFL playoffs now so not much else to discuss. Reply Back to Top |
| was he actually let go from that or did he quit? i know he says he quit because it was getting to be too much for him but that could just be lip service. Reply Back to Top |
| Maybe he wants out of his contract? Reply Back to Top |

quote: He is consistently a douche. I started listening to sports radio at work, and the more I listen to some guys the more I realize I don't like them. Rian Riscillo (sp) is a great example. Used to like him alot, but it's really waned. Mike Detillia (sp) is another. Reply Back to Top |
| I forget what the story was, but I remember him in the last year saying he identifies with the little guy stuck working for the man and that he'll be moved on one day, but the ESPN machine will keep rolling. It made me think he'd be gone in a year or two. Reply Back to Top |

| According to Cowherd, he voluntarily left Sportsnation. He's really tight with Beadle, so when she left I don't think he was all-in on the show anymore. He is kind of glib when he talks about ESPN at times, he definitely plays with fire a little bit in that regard. Reply Back to Top |

Posted by RandySavage on 1/18 at 8:59 am to Chad504boy Off the subject a bit but has anyone seen SN this week with RR. Is it just me or does he look like he hates being there? I've only seen about two ten minute clips or so but he looks so uncomfortable with Wiley and the guests they've had on. Granted one of the times one of the Wayans Bros. was on there acting like a total idiot but Rusillo just looked disgusted the whole time.Reply Back to Top |
| Just saying his tone has changed since leaving Sportsnation IMO. Seems like something is up with him and the ESPN brass. Reply Back to Top |
| They should fill his slot with some Dan Davis rap eta: he's funny on big stories though This post was edited on 1/18 at 9:04 am Reply Back to Top |
| Russillo gives off a "too cool for school" vibe that I can't stand. Kind of hope Svp goes back to a solo act. He is the talent. Reply Back to Top |
| Sounds fine to me. I like him and Greenie on together. Reply Back to Top |

Posted by geauxscott on 1/18 at 9:16 am to bbap Cowherd announced on the show in early December that ESPN had decided to move the show to L.A. and that because of his radio show and his kids he can't make the move, therefore he will unfortunately have to step away from SN. So I wouldn't call it being fired or that he quit, but rather had to leave due to the circumstances (show moving across the country).Reply Back to Top |
quote: No thanks. Greenie and Golic work out good, in my opinion. One of them is a good "host", while the other is able to be there to, at all times, bring in the perspective of someone who has actually played competitive sports beyond the JV level. Pairing up Greenie and Cowherd would lose that perspective. Obviously they have guests on, but I like that there's usually someone in a chair "full-time" with that experience. Reply Back to Top |
| True. I couldn't take them as a daily show, still, they're interesting together today. Reply Back to Top |
