| Laquon Treadwell...Why no interest in LSU or Vica versa? Posted by Tiger Phanatick I am seeing that he likes Ole Miss and with our need for a big WR and seeing that Q. Leslie is no lock. Why wouldn't this guy be interested in us he would make a huge splash here in Red Stick! Now a bit of my curiousity is star gazing but he looked great in the all american game. There has to be a reason.....???? Reply Back to Top |
quote: Maybe our pathetic offense? He may see that Ole Miss throws the ball better than we do or something like that.. Reply Back to Top |
| We tried to get involved and he told us no thanks. Midwest people are saying he's for sale. Could be sour grapes. Definitely strange that a guy from Illinois has a final two of Ole Miss and Oklahoma State. Reply Back to Top |

| His final two are Ole Miss and Oklahoma. He is just visiting Oklahoma State for his uncle who played football there Reply Back to Top |
Posted by LSU=Champions on 1/10 at 11:00 am to Col Reb is my mascot If you're a HS WR, which place are you going to see more passes thrown your way? Okie State/Ole Miss or LSU?Reply Back to Top |
quote: Silly logic. Ole Miss is the only team that throws the ball? He'll get just as many balls thrown to him at UGA, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Florida State, Clemson, Texas, and I could go on. All far better programs than Ole Miss. He's the #1 WR in the country. Reply Back to Top |

| See I put some thought into pathetic offense but we would have n look look as of next year and then he could be a sophomore in a totally different offense. I get the love fest for Oklahoma State. But Ole Miss is mind boggling. But I can easily see why a WR would be afraid of Miles/ Stud offense and Mett didn't do anything to change course as we all anticipated. Reply Back to Top |
Posted by BasilBogomil on 1/10 at 12:00 pm to Tiger Phanatick He wants to be in a throw first offense, thus Ole Miss and Oklahoma, rather than a run first offense like LSU and Alabama. This is not rocket science.Reply Back to Top |
Posted by West Monroe on 1/10 at 12:11 pm to BasilBogomil Freeze is a very good recruiter. Ole Miss might not ever be on the level of LSU, Bama, etc, but they are going to be very competitive under him. Reply Back to Top |
| Let's take off the purple and gold glasses and look at this from our point of view as LSU fans. You grow up and LSU/SEC fan but not really getting much interest here. You have an offer from Ohio State (primarily a running team, but puts WRs into the NFL/championship caliber) or Oklahoma State (wide open passing attack, 2nd tier program). Do you choose the lesser school with the passing happy offense or the top tier school with primarily a running offense? There is no real right or wrong answer here, but I think the whole 'run first offense scares away WRs' is kind of silly. Some guys want the ball and don't care about program level. Some do. All of the whining about LSU's offense is legit, but you guys overblow a lot of the recruiting side of this argument. Reply Back to Top |

quote: If you are referring to RN, it's because of his brother..period....if his brother did not play there then he would be an LSU commit. No doubt in my mind about that Reply Back to Top |
| It was actually a general statement. Your statement implies that no good player attends a school that isn't at the top of either the offensive or defensive side of the ball when, quite frankly, that may play some role in it but there are about ten other things just as important. To discount a certain player on offense because another team was ranked higher statistically is pretty short sighted on your part. This post was edited on 1/17 at 8:59 pm Reply Back to Top |
OK bro..here it is...not trying to debate with you on this....the OP asked why LSU didn't get a real look...my response was that maybe it's because our offense is pathetic and Ole Miss throws the ball better....followed by " "...meaning I'm not sure but this is a possible reason.... Now you making statements that I am "discounting a certain player on offense" doesnt really make sense to me...I am saying that he has a better chance at getting touches there then he does here.... quote: What???? you completely misunderstood me Reply Back to Top Refresh |
