quote: No. Tired of potential 1st round busts. Need a for sure player. Not saying he will be a bust, but he's still a slight reach in the 1st round. Would maybe take him in the 2nd. Reply Back to Top |

| Sorry. Guy was being a douche so I had to respond. But on topic, Jesse will be a great player down the road but doesn't fit well into the 4-3 scheme. Pass rushing DE is our biggest need ATM. I'm pretty high on that kid from Oregon, personally. Reply Back to Top |
| Sorry, the two bama fans were flaming so i had to respond Anyway, there will be much higher rated DTs on the board at this time. Richardson probably wont be available but maybe Jenkins of UGA or Kawann Short Any tiger fans remember Cassius Marsh? Commitment to LSU at one point now at UCLA and already projected top 10 DT in this year's draft Reply Back to Top |
| I know half of you are joking, but all Alabama residents are welcome on this board any day. I travel the South for work and love that there are Saints fans and gear in the stores. Mobile, Pensacola, Jackson etc. Finally winning Shreveport back as well. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Apparently, some people don't understand the Saints fan base has run through Miss and Ala for a long time. With that being said, I don't like Ingram because he doesn't produce. Harper is just slow but he is a decent pro. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Dude is like 360 pounds. At least Williams is built like a 4-3 DT Reply Back to Top |
| And? Ellis will be gone after this yeae and we need a run stopper who can consistently rush the passer. Im not saying we will take Jenkins, but we will take the best available at our pick of DT/DE Reply Back to Top |
| as to the OP, I don't see anyone projecting Williams as a 4-3DT at all, 3-4 NT only. I see 3 DTs that could be BPA and a fit for the Saints- Lotulelei- 0% chance of availability Hankins and Richardson- both could be gone or both still on the board. Still some solidifying of the DT stock to shakeout. Jenkins, Floyd, and Short might move up boards but at this point look like reaches at #15 IMO Reply Back to Top |
quote: 4-3 DT is really his natural position and the one he is best suited for. He played DE as a junior and was only moved to Nt as a necessity as a senior. He's a little light for 3-4 NT. As far as Jenkins goes, he'a a terrible fit for a 4-3. He gets no push on pass rush and is way too easy to move for a guy his size. He got manhandled by a guy on one leg in the SECCG. The saints don't need a gap eater near as much as they need a playmaker on that side of the ball. Imagine Aldon Smith in black and gold Reply Back to Top |
quote: I'm not going to argue this with you any further, you have your opinion and that's fine--but if he is there as the highest ranked DT at that time then we will take him. Just like if there is a higher ranked DE on the board we will take him. We need a guy who can rush the passer/stop the run PERIOD..Well, technically a couple of guys Reply Back to Top |

| If the Saints take a SEC DT in the first, I hope it is Richardson. Big body and had quick bursts in the games I have seen him in so far. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
