I'm sure this has been posted about but I find stories like these to be fascinating. It's like a New Orleans version of The Wire and proves how real it is for some groups to have so much control over the drug trade in cities like NO.

You must have been sheltered as a kid. Legalizing drugs will certainly make these types of people drop what they are doing and go get legitimate jobs.

What else could they do to make money? Of course there would still be ways to make money on crime, but legalizing drugs would wipe out a ton of those "jobs."

Maybe at the beginning. But once they figure out they will be caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent for crimes against whites they would start changing their tune.

The incentive of easy profits off drugs creates the problems in "hoods." Take away that incentive and the thug behavior will be curtailed to a large extent.

Sure will add incentive since the underground economy will take a big hit. The black market is too lucrative for many to pass on. Reducing the black market for drug trade will change this nation in many ways for the better.

I want drugs to be legal as badly as anyone but this is debatable. The ONLY industry in a lot of areas, like the ghettos of N.O., is the drug industry. If that goes away what are all of those people gonna do for money? Work real jobs?

Not my problem what someone chooses to do with their life. They can choose to join society and work for a living or commit harder crimes to try to get by and quickly land themselves in jail.
