Greg Stewart fired as Cajuns' d-coordinatorquote: Rumored here - LINK Confirmed by BJ Thompson, apparently Hud has already talked to a bunch of coaches at a convention. The players liked Greg Stewart but he was far too invested in buffets and not enough with defense. Reply Back to Top |
| John Chavis was quoted as saying he can't wait to get out of that shithole in Baton Rouge and take the job. It's not certain whether Hud wants him yet. Reply Back to Top |
| Who are the actual candidates? Reply Back to Top |
| I don't know. One thing you'll learn about Cajuns' fans is that those who have Scout memberships learn the inside scoop and think they're better because of it so they'll post shite like "oh I've been knowing this for weeks" when something breaks. Tim Buckley doesn't give a frick so he hasn't written anything on it yet. I'll pass along any info I come across. Reply Back to Top |

quote: I've noticed this when I looked at Ragin Pagin the other day. Man, some of those people on their recruiting board really hate that LSU is looking at Cethan Carter. Reply Back to Top |
| We have Dominick Bilich working on Carter. He's flying under the radar. No idea how he's just a 2 star. Reply Back to Top |
| Not sure why he's rated so low either. He grew 3 inches between his Jr and Sr year. I guess it's a combo of him either projecting at fullback, which won't be rated highly, or as an undersized TE, which won't be rated highly. His growth spurt changed his projectability, but the rating services never adjusted. I'm hoping he can get into LSU's class, but if he can't, he could do a lot worse than going to ULL. He would really fit David Shaw/Willie Taggart style offense, but I don't think USF has offered, and I know Stanford hasn't. Reply Back to Top |
| We use our tight ends a lot in our offense. Obviously Ladarius Green was a beast but Ian Thompson and Jacob Maxwell both caught the ball a lot this year. Reply Back to Top |
| Curious as to who they are going to interview or try to bring in for D coordinator. Reply Back to Top |

| People on raginpagin are saying Lance Guidry is an option. Can't wait to see him at the Keg. Reply Back to Top |
| That would mean one thing for sure. Another bowl game, and Hud taking another job before that bowl is played so that Guidry can be the interim coach and give another rousing speech before the game. As terrible a human being as I think Guidry is from all the Janzen Jackson BS, he's actually a pretty decent DC. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I was. You have a good memory I ended my subscription. I wasn't getting much inside info because I was never able to attend the chats. Outside of those chats, you don't really get a whole lot of inside scoop on things. This post was edited on 1/9 at 2:28 pm Reply Back to Top |
quote: I don't see how this would work. From a recruiting standpoint, you would think his actions during the recruitment of his son would hinder him locally. But, ULL typically doesn't give the state kids as much attention as the lower tiered Texas and Florida guys. So, maybe. I know he had a defense at McNeese that gave up over 50 points 4+ times one season. The last time he was in town with W.Kentucky, he got a DWI after leaving the Carencro game, too. Not sure the Cajuns really want to take that kind of chance with him. Everything seems to be on the upswing right now. Reply Back to Top |
| I hear Tommy Spangler is available. The Cajuns should look into him if they want a record setting defense. Reply Back to Top |
| I have numerous sources who are saying Rob Ryan accepted the job this morning. Reply Back to Top |
