Apparently, crybaby Republicans change their votes when their feelings are hurt

Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) said on the Senate floor that the president's tone [in his afternoon presser] represented "heckling," and as a consequence, he "lost some votes" for a compromise deal. Soon after, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) also said Obama was too mean and made Congress feel bad.

What an ADULT way to govern!

If I were Obama I'd make sure those rude "You lie!" applauders would cry even more. Hit them were it hurts... make their defense contractor contributors think twice, for example, about sending more money to a party that refused to accept what the country decided in November and what is now officially costing them those precious high dollar contracts. I would also tell them that the demarcation line for tax increases has just been reset to $250k.

Obama holds all the cards. It's time he stops playing Mr. Nice Guy with jackasses who have held him in such conspicuous contempt.

What the country decided in November? You seem to be working under the delusion that you live in a democracy. And no, I'm not being sarcastic.

Rex the election has nothing to do with Congress being fiscally responsible

this year we send up a near record 2.5 Trillion dollars in taxes revenues

Congress is spending 3.73 for 2013

Americans voted for Obama to have more time...

Now, the ball is in his court...He can get serious or go down as the President that bankrupted America

Well, considering it's supposed to be a Republic not a Democracy... but yeah, it hasn't been either for some time.

He wouldn't go down in any negative way especially that. The media would spin it as its the Republicans fault and Obama was really the greatest president ever

Right. Yeah, who here thinks that is remotely close to what John McCain said? Using Maddow as your source never reflects well on you.

Other than Sean Hannity, is there a more irresponsible tv talking head than Maddow?

I think if we go back into a recession, he will get the heat even from MSNBC types

Tax revenue is not the problem

Why in the heck are they so hell bent on raising taxes to get an extra 85 Billion a year when we are still short 1.3 Trillion?

The issues here are about spending cuts, always have been...and the Democrats hold that piece and must accept responsibility

If I was John B, I would be embarrassing the President by holding a Q and A press conference...

Hold up the details of what has been offered and what is being rejected... if the public understood the spending, I think they would support the republicans

Rex what do you think we should do to tackle the deficit problem?

I will give you your messiah Obama's plan of raising taxes on 250,000+

That funds the government for 8 days.

Now you need to figure out how to fund it for the next 357 days.

Get started, young lad!

Maddow's IQ is about 50 points higher than Hannity's and her integrity is infinitely higher since Hannity has zero.

Just because somebody is not on the political side you prefer doesn't make her "irresponsible".
