| Movies like The Matrix, A New Hope, first Pirates of the Caribbean etc tell a complete story because they were never intended to be part of a series. It was only after those movies became hits that the studio decided to do more. Reply • Back to Top |

The Matrix is probably on the greatest science fiction films ever, but we don't really look back on it like that anymore, just by virtue that Reloaded and Revolutions exist, not to mention an extremely irrelevant and forgettable expanded universe.
