Ralph & Kacoo's Bossier - "Yuck!" Posted by HubbaBubba Wife and I in visiting family in Shreveport. Went out to eat after having success at the tables at Eldorado Casino. Tried this place, and wife ordered ettoufee and I ordered the bisque. The ettoufee was about the worst slop I have ever had, except the bisque was worst! I sent it back. It was NOT bisque. It was like really bad ettoufee, made with two much starch and served over rice instead of as a thick soup. When I complained they brought me a cup of the sauce without rice but it was like a really thick past gravy. I sent this back and then our main course arrived. My wife's catfish tasted like really bad mud cat, and my Mahi came out like overcooked shoe leather. Yuck! Just letting you guys know that this place is not very good, at all. Reply Back to Top

Ralph and Kacoo's sucks. Who knew? Reply Back to Top
I've never been to Ralph & Kacoo's but I generally don't hear good things. I used to know a couple of people that worked in the kitchen at the BR location This post was edited on 12/29 at 2:14 am Reply Back to Top
Place to go was Blind Tiger. Less expensive, better atmosphere and much better food. Reply Back to Top
Used to be a great place, until they sold to Piccadilly. Reply Back to Top

Why didn't you just eat at a restaurant in one of the casinos? Reply Back to Top
The Indy Bowl had a lot of people in from OOT and the lines in the casino were long. Reply Back to Top
Gotcha, didn't think about that. As many have stated, Blind Tiger was probably your best option in that area. Lesson learned, I guess. Reply Back to Top
Posted by Salmon on 12/29 at 11:55 am to HubbaBubba if you want to stay in downtown Shreveport hit up Blind Tiger or Noble Savage (if you don't mind some smoke) Reply Back to Top |
I've only been a few times but the last two times I got the chicken breaux bridge. Grilled chicken topped with crawfish tails, andouille sausage, and some kind of sauce. It was pretty good. Reply Back to Top
