Week 17 thread Posted by AtlantaLSUfan For guys still playing in week 17, help me list which NFL teams have something to play for. -Dallas and Washington are battling for a playoff spot/division championship. -I think Baltimore and Cincy play to see who is the wildcard vs who is the division championship -I would not start any Atlanta Falcons For those of you who do not know, week 17 is always very weird. It's like a preseason game, starters get pulled and backups play 3quarters. Very difficult to pick who's going to do well. It's not a matter of "who do I start", it's about "who will play the whole game". Reply Back to Top
Houston, Denver, and NE are battling for home field advantage with each other so thankfully if you have Manning (me), Brady, or Foster they should all play a full game This post was edited on 12/26 at 8:00 am Reply Back to Top
Also the Vikings still have a playoff shot plus there is the rushing record, AP should be all systems go I'm not sure how important 2000 receiving yards is to Megatron but I'm guessing he'll play plenty Trent Richardson is probably not going to play Reply Back to Top
Even Houston, Denver, and NE will rest their starters once they get a lead. Looks like Green Bay is playing for a bye, so that GB vs Minnesota game will be solid. I'm dropping Matt Ryan for Mike Vick, may even pick up Falcon's back up RB. Reply Back to Top
quote: Only if they have it locked up. I'm still starting Peyton but I have Russell Wilson and Josh Freeman just in case Reply Back to Top |
The only teams that would rest starters are playoff teams with nothing to play for. All the shite teams with injured players will be out from the injury reports on Friday. I would not be afraid to start a guy from a shite team (assuming he is a good fantasy football player like Cam or Calvin). You have to be more careful with a team like Atlanta with nothing to play for. Reply Back to Top
Do yall think Ray Rice will play this week? I've got him CJ Spiller, Doug Martin, and Shonn Greene. Can play three of them. Reply Back to Top
What do y'all think about the Seahawks? My QB choices this week are Freeman and Wilson. Reply Back to Top

quote: I would say Wilson, I'm considering starting him over Peyton but I think I'm gonna not. What about Antonio Brown vs. the Browns or Chris Johnson vs. the Jags None of those teams are going to the playoffs so..... Reply Back to Top |
Play Chris Johnson, he'll be in all game. Just read that the Raiders are starting Terrell Pryor. Would avoid everyone except McFadden LINK Reply Back to Top
Only person I am skeptical about playing is Reggie Wayne. Think I will stick to Decker and Dez. Also unsure whether I want to play Shonn Greene or Reggie Bush in the flex. After what Gore and Foster did to me last week, I just can't imagine that will happen again (2 combined points from those two) Reply Back to Top
Gore should be fine. SF needs to win. Guys who've never played week 17 - it's an art form. The starters will only play one half. A lesser ranked guy who plays all four quarters is a better start. Reply Back to Top
Here's my starters. Thoughts? QB: Russel Wilson RB: Spiller RB: Montel Owens WR: Dez WR: AJ Green TE: Hernandez K: Tynes DEF: DEN BENCH: QB: Freeman, Ryan WR: VJax RB: Vick Ballard, Deangelo Williams TE: Gronk DEF: HOU Reply Back to Top
Would anyone play Matt Ryan or Roddy White? My other option is Russell Wilson and Antino Brown Reply Back to Top

quote: Looks good to me. You should get solid playing time from all. The only worry would be AJ. I know the coach said that he'll be pushing them since they've been playing poorly. But you have to think that if they either get down fast early or take some hard hits, that he'll just go ahead an pull the starters since they are essentially playing for nothing. With that said, you can't really justify playing anyone over him from your bench unless you think VJax might light it up against some 2nd string ATL dbs. Reply Back to Top |
Antonio Brown all day. The other WR in Pitt just went on IR. Reply Back to Top

Looks like all your guys will play a full game Scruff, nice How about mine? QB: Peyton Manning RB: AP RB: Stevan Ridley WR: Megatron WR: Dez Bryant Flex: Chris Johnson TE: Jermichael Finley D/ST: Pats Bench: QBs: Josh Freeman, Russel Wilson WRs: Hakeem Nicks, Antonio Brown, Anquan Boldin RBs: Trent Richardson D/ST: Texans Eta: non PPR This post was edited on 12/30 at 10:33 am Reply Back to Top Refresh
