| A few of my favorites: Jackson 5 - "I Want You Back" (Wilton Felder on bass) Peter Gabriel - "Sledgehammer" (Tony Levin on bass) Jaco Pastorius - "Come on Come Over" (Jaco on bass obviously) Otis Redding - "Dock of the Bay" (Duck Dunn on bass) These to me are very recognizable and integral to these songs. | Curtis Mayfield's Pusherman (Joseph 'Lucky' Scott) LINK Pink Floyd "Money" marvin gaye "what's going on" (james jamerson, the best bassist to ever live) lou reed - walk on the wild side (herbie flowers) cool note about this song: he overdubbed his upright line with a fretless electric. david bowie produced the track LINK This post was edited on 12/27 at 10:18 pm Reply Back to Top |
