This is so interesting. I'm reading it all now, but watched the videos and it's pretty wild. I know you're very libertarian/I'm not sure, but I agree with you on some points so I'll watch/read and get back to you. Reply Back to Top
This is very interesting. I can't imagine the gov't being too happy about this concept. Reply Back to Top
This test firing looks inherently unsafe. Reply Back to Top

Somebody should advise those guys to perhaps rig an apparatus to where the gun can be test fired without them having their faces and hands directly on the weapon. This is a really cool idea but I seriously would not want that gun near me when test firing, especially if doing so to expected failure. Reply Back to Top
Yeah, that is ballsy of them. You'd think they would be smart enough to rig something to do the shooting for them. Reply Back to Top
If any of you want to try out the .cad files yourselves, they are hosting the blueprints on a site of theirs now. LINK / Reply Back to Top
I think(assume) they've tested this under better conditions. BUT, this is how revolutions are formed in a society where weapons are prohibited, NOT where we have a RIGHT(under our Bill of Rights) to own guns to combat our tyrannical government. This (IMO) is why governments want to restrict the internet. WAYYY too much information. Reply Back to Top

Mo, what is your political affiliation? Left wing/Libertarian? Reply Back to Top
Grew up in a Fox household, O'Reilly/Hannity was gospel. (Am staying in that house tonight, which is a big reason I'm still awake). Libertarian would be the easiest answer, but I don't think I'd identify myself as a true libertarian. I'm against parties, so I don't really know how I'd brand myself. I believe in most libertarian principles, but I don't like how most acting libertarians want to fit there policy into the framework of this existing system. I think both of these major parties are just puppets for larger interests, both growing government and contributing to the downfall of our country. Reply Back to Top
Christmas Update on their blog including a video of testing done. Blog post Video Reply Back to Top
quote: I don't think that's possible with things like rifling, etc., but the lower receiver is the part the Feds stamp. If that's done, then the Feds lose control of the industry and the people win. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I think that's the point. After about 3 weeks of testing DD went from a lower receiver lasting 6 rounds to 80 rounds. Reply Back to Top |
