If it's true that LSU is in the minority in this regard and a majority of the other programs like and want to continue the current system, than I'd like Alleva to say that. We're just outvoted. Ark/Tamu/Mizz also have a fairly equitable schedules so they aren't beating down the door for change. The only real ally we have at the moment is USC and Spurrier, since they are kind of inbetween the have nots and the haves at the moment and covet the schedules that GA/KY/Vandy have. When the subject of changing the schedule rotation was brought up this summer at the conference meeting, only USC and perhaps Ark were on our side, the rest of the conference was in favor of keeping the imbalance...for obvious reasons. | I have absolutely no problem playing a Florida plus Georgia or whoever else any year. The tougher our schedule is the better chance we have of making it into the NC game. If we lose to a ranked team early in the year but play five more ranked teams we probably just have to win out. Reply • Back to Top |
| Actually that's not really true. Georgia played a much worse schedule than us this year yet they are in a much better position to play for the National Title. Alabama last year played a much worse schedule than us. The top 3 teams this year all played much worse schedules than ours Reply • Back to Top |
