as much as i hate the mother fricker(drafted him in the 2nd) there is no way you sit stafford for luck so trade the rook. Does your league give bonuses for yardage? Thats where stafford makes a killing in my leagues, but you do need to have a bottle of tums on sunday if you are watching him play  Also if you are worried about having a backup just trade luck and pick up shaun hill (staffords backup).
