No spoilers so don't worry. While I've read them for years, you kind of glance over how graphic these books are. They cleared the prison in the books (obviously) but it wasn't like that. It was just a few panels showing black and white blood splatters or a walker getting its head bashed in. Same goes for Michonne and her two friends. They look like zombies on leashes in the books, but seeing them come to life on the show...they were pretty damn scary. I love the direction this show is going.
