re: **Official** Fringe Episode 3 Final Season - "The Recordist"quote: It was a joke... was kinda baiting cp3 Took it down once the bait was taken.. xD Reply Back to Top |
| There was a LOT of filler in this episode. Was kinda hoping for a bit more substance. Still a good episode nonetheless. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Proof that American TV is flawed... they act like they need 16 episodes, only get 13, and we STILL get filler episodes.. ETA: not meant as a jab against fringe... glad we got the emotional connections from last episode... I get this same connection in anime though.. half the time in each episode. | So, I totally have a new theory about how this show is going to end now...anyone care to hear it? It's not a spoiler, just a "theory alert" Reply Back to Top |
| Go for it! Reply Back to Top |

| Okay, sorry for the delay...my bad. This may have been discussed before, I'm not sure. But, here it is! Etta is not what she appears. She is either: 1) an observer 2) a scientifically modified human 3) a cyborg/robot 4) a combination of any of the above. There's a chance she's not Peter and Olivia's daughter at all. And, there's a chance that she is unaware that any of this could have happened to her and she really might believe she is Etta. Remember, she WAS taken. No one knows what happened to her between being the small child to now. We've seen what the observers do to "experiment" on "natives"... Why can't she be read? Why does she always seem to be the one that is NOT killed? Why does she have contacts with the Observer go-betweens? She's the Observers' pawn and no one knows it (in theory) but the Observers. And, I could be completely off too...this is Fringe afterall Reply Back to Top |
| Oh and I guess I said something about how the show was going to "end"...I don't think I meant that exactly. Oh well Reply Back to Top |
| You know - I'm as big a Fringe fan as there is... but something has been bothering me about this season... something missing... and it's just now I've been able to put my finger on it. The Unknown. Every week there was a sense of "what's going to happen next" building and building. So far this season - that's been the major thing missing. We already know what happened (big picture) and the "quests" are already mapped out (small picture). As much as I love Fringe - the first 3 episodes have felt a little hollow because there's been no "discovery" that the audience experiences along with the characters (figuring out what Walter knew then forgot is not the same). I'm thinking they get it back on track this week. Reply Back to Top |

quote: 1. She can't be read because her mother was pumped full of cortexiphan when she was being developed inside of her mother. That was why she is so "important" to September. 2. Of course she's not killed, she has the same cognitive abilities Olivia has.. she's smart and fast and able to sense things. 3. eh.. she was a member of the Observer's Fringe team for 10 years.. it's to be expected. quote: I don't think so, but I do agree with yuri.. something is missing from this season, hopefully they fix it with this next episode. Also, Yuri, you start this week's fringe thread, I am up to my eyeballs in work right now, wont be able to on friday. Reply Back to Top |

quote: maybe september returns? I still think there is "something" about Etta though...something that's not-so-good for the REAL Fringe team... Reply Back to Top |
quote: My Etta "discovery" thoughts all involve less clothing. Sorry... That's how I'm wired. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Why are you apologizing? You're amongst friends with that statement. Maybe they'll find a way to get her in a lot less at some point! <------- moreover, that pic gets a lot of props around here Reply Back to Top |
quote: Yeah, I don't think she's anything special.. other than she found the team and can keep the Observers from reading her. I bet the Observers did a lot of test on her as a child in order to figure out how she does it, so they could make sure nobody else could ever ignore them.. As for why she worked for them: "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." Reply Back to Top |
