yeah you only have one side of the story. i would like to see the statement from the RN who was working the procedure. Need impartial witnessess to come forward to give unbiased facts.

Forcepts were used on your head. Mom couldn't handle the a naturale pain. Very common

This part seemed to occur after the emergency c-section from what I read.

Sounds like the ob/gyn put a lot of traction on the fetus due to the abdominal dystocia (if this is truly what it was, more likely that it was a shoulder dystocia, i've personally never encountered an abdominal dystocia although there is some literature about it.) and partially decapitated the fetus resulting in the blood. After that, they went to the OR where he finished severing the fetus' head.

It will be interesting to read the doctor's testimony to see if he went to the emergency c-section in order to be better suited for any surgical emergency that could occur after this (he did do a 4th degree episotomy also) or if truly was trying to cover the incident up.

guy followed SOC and there was a complication. It sucks, but that's life. Malpractice insurance co will settle though and family will get paid. So good for them I guess.

Not that any of this makes sense, but doing this especially makes no sense. There's no way he went and conscientiously went and continued to decapitate the baby and finished the job. If the baby's head came off, it sounds like it came off completely or nearly completely during the dystocia---which is absolutely mind-boggling.

I guess maybe he could have pulled it the rest of the way off when extracting the baby from the abdomen... fricking awful.

I think this is a huge misconception. Doctors are notorious for using their knowledge to take advantage of people. Not all doctors are dicks, but many of them think people owe them something for their "expertise". Never think just because someone is a doctor or a med student they are automatically qualified to be trusted with human lives.
