quote: It's convenient that someone who disagrees with you is "unable to grasp logic and truth". I enjoy the religious debates around here. The internet is the primary causation of the increasing skepticism amongst the general public. Information and education are the enemies of religious mythology. Reply Back to Top |

quote: You still think I'm an evangelical. That's proof right there. quote: Actually, I would say that an actual education is the enemy of atheism. Most "theists" are just unable to understand philosophy and the flaws in atheistic arguments. They also don't have enough training to be able to sift through what is garbage (the "Jesus wife" papyrus, for example) and what is credible. But before we all get banned for a religious thread, this conversation should probably stop. Reply Back to Top |
quote: That was a satirical post, you're not actually denying evolution, right? I have to ask around here. Reply Back to Top |
quote: The overwhelming majority of scholars and scientists are irreligious. I don't need any kind of "Jesus' wife" nonsense to realize that religion is a ridiculous, illogical notion. quote: You seriously believe the weight of philosophical reasoning is behind organized religion? It's fantasy, pure and simple. Based on nothing, impossible to prove. I'm not usually the internet-atheist-argument douchebag, but this could be fun. quote: Religious discussions are banned now? quote: This pronouncement coming from your brainwaves and musings is the absolute hieghts of comical shite that it isn't funny. How long have the people tht you align your self with had plan of ruling the world, and how many years have they been fighting all over the world to achieve that ends? Reply Back to Top |
quote: Like I've said, Romey's about as Mormon as much as Obama is a black liberation theologist. They both pay lip service to their churches, but I doubt either of them really believe all that much. Reply Back to Top |

quote: Mitt was a state president of the mormon church. Thats is basically like being a cardinal of the catholic church. He still donates millions of dollars to the church and traveled all over the world on mission trips. Get your facts straight before you come in here and act ignorant. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Just have to correct you a bit here, though I agree with the overall sentiment of your post about Romney. Romney was not a STATE president of the LDS. He was a STAKE president. The U.S. currently has 19 Catholic Cardinals. The U.S. has just shy of 3,000 STAKE presidents, including four in Massachusetts. A Mormon stake president is a far, far lower level official of the church than a Cardinal is. Just didn't want to leave readers with a misleading impression of his former level of leadership in his church. Carry on Reply Back to Top |
