| I've eaten at Domenica three different times, each plagued with mediocre food and terrible service. I would have replaced that with Patois. Reply • Back to Top |

I don't know why Cochon is on this list, it's a cool spot, but it's just not the type of restaurant that comes to mind when you're thinking about New Orleans food. | I think some of the negative experiences with Domenica have to do with expectations. New Orleans has so bastardized Italian cuisine people forget or don't know what typical Italian food is. You go in expecting meatballs and red gravy and when you don't find that, you settle for stracci with oxtails and chicken livers and are disappointed. Satisfaction can be described by a simple equation: Satisfaction=reality-expectations. It's easy to see why some have had less than stellar meals there when they don't really know what to expect . | don't think its a top 10 lists of New Orleans food. even so, its not far off. Good point. But I still don't think Cochon should be on the list. I think Herbsaint, Link's other restaurant is many times better than Cochon and yes I know it's on the list. Reply • Back to Top |
