JACK WELCH: Obama Is Manipulating The Jobs Numbers Because His Debate Performance Was Awful

Brett LoGiurato | Oct. 5, 2012

Former GE CEO Jack Welch's reaction to non-farm payrolls adding 114,000 new jobs in September and the unemployment rate falling to 7.8 percent:

"Unbelievable jobs numbers...these Chicago guys will do anything...can't debate, so change jobs numbers."

Dude is still alive?

I thought for sure he would be on life support after Chris Mattbews embarrassed him this afternoon.

Jack Welch is one of the greatest CEO's in the history of American commerce.

Who are you again? What are your qualifications for greatness? I'd really like to know.

The only people embarrassed by Chris Matthews are the people who watch his show.

There's nothing they can do to cover up the debate carnage.

I'm sure Joe Kernan and Rick Santellia will be bent over with dropped trou come next week on CNBC's early morning show - with ole Jack popping both in the rear after taking a couple of "V" pills.

Kickadouche is by his own description someone who has been "self-employed his whole adult life"...which in his case, translates out to being unemployable because he's too fricking stupid for anybody to hire.

Here is the video of him getting "destroyed" by Chris Matthews

video

LINK

quote:

“We had 600,000 government jobs added in the last two months. We had 873,00 jobs by a household survey — which is a total estimate — from 50,000 phone calls. Of those, 600,000 were temporary workers. Chris, these numbers are all a series of assumptions. Tons of assumptions. And it just seems somewhat coincidental that the month before the election, the numbers go one-tenth of a point below where the president started. Although, I don’t see anything in the economy that says these surges are true.”

quote:

Matthews then asked if he wanted to take back his accusation that the numbers were intentionally fudged.

“No,” Welch said defiantly. As Matthews grew frustrated with his guests defiance, he accused Welch of irresponsibly alleging wrongdoing by the president of the United States without probable cause. At this, Welch laughed — literally.

quote:

“Chris, don’t lose it now,” Welch said.

quote:

“You don’t think it’s coincidental that we’ve got the biggest surge since 1983 in the jobs surge? Come on, Chris,” Welch said, refusing to back down. “It’s a six percent improvement in employment in two months…The numbers don’t jibe.”

He continued: “These numbers defy logic. They defy logic. We do not have a 4 to 5 percent booming economy with 873,000 people added. I mean, stop it, Chris. On the face of it, we don’t have this GDP. I love you, but you can’t get there.”

quote:

Welch said he was just “raising the question for some good analysts to go look at.”

Even if that were true, that doesn't at all lend credence to his bogus conspiracy theory.

Friday's NYT has a group of letters from 'experts' evaluating the debate. One professor of Law at NYU said that Obama clearly won the debate.

Conspiracy theory?

Really?

This administration is already strong-arming defense contractors into not sending layoff notices out before the election - IN DEFIANCE OF THE LAW. This is a fact.

Do you REALLY believe that it's such a stretch that Obama would order his own Labor Department to cook the books to get UE below 8% before the election? Even when the numbers just don't add up?

Please tell me you haven't had THAT much Kool-Aid. This is old-style Chicago bull shite at it's worst.

Boy...Welch sure looked "destroyed" there.

Of course, I am sure that NYU law professor declared Matthews the winner of that exchange.

Seriously.

I just watched the video. What I saw was one of America's greatest CEO's saying the employment numbers for the last two months don't add up. They are out of line with this current economy. It is suspicious.

And of course we also saw Chris Matthews, an alleged journalist, show absolutely no curiosity about why the largest jump in employment numbers since 1983 just happened to occur in the two months before the elction. Is there a story there? Not if you're Christ Matthews. Not if your #1 priority is to protect Barack Obama and ensure 4 more years of tingles running up your leg.

I'm surprised at your conclusion. Welch and the others who suggested this are paying a serious price.

Meanwhile, Romney is hiding his tax returns but that's OK. Not pretty.

My question to the Obama boys who throw this 7.8% out as great news., So tell me what companies are hiring? None of the 3 stooge's that I ask could give me just one company. So I ask the Obama boys here, who is hiring?
