| re: Thoughts on Mumford & Sons Posted by Pettifogger on 10/4 at 8:15 pm to notslim99 Very talented. Good vocals, great layering musicianship, good songwriting. The songs sound similar, but they they're better than 95% of popular music. Much prefer constant strumming to boring synths. Reply Back to Top |

Posted by ToddKillsSquids on 10/5 at 1:03 am to RollTide1987 their first album was decent. not really much variation or originality, but it was still enjoyable. second album is just the same thing. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I think Paste has become a pretty respected music source nationwide over the past 5-10 years. And when they went strictly online, I think that probably widened their base even more. Fun fact - I live less than a mile from their offices when they were in print and almost bought one of their computers when they were selling everything in their office. I did pick up a couple cd's though. Reply Back to Top |
| I tried to like them cause some reason I thought I was supposed to. After a short while I realized they they sucked. Reply Back to Top |
| I just listened to their new album. I Like it Reply Back to Top |
quote: I had no idea it was an Atlanta thing. I don't think its big, but I've always thought it was just an online mag that covered more "roots" based indie rock. Which is pretty much my tastes now. I think it's a less pretentious Pitchfork. Reply Back to Top |

| You're right walt. They don't suck. They are talented musicians. But their music is redundant. Hard to tell one song from the next. They should be more diverse and creative considering the musical ability they have. Just mho Reply Back to Top |
quote: They started in Atlanta(specifically Decatur). Used to be in print for probably 5-6 years and then went strictly on line about 2 years ago maybe. Reply Back to Top |
