| Shouldn't we expect increased Hornets coverage on WWL radio now? Posted by wope Serious question. I know we all predicted this when it was announced, but how can the "flagship" station of a team have no coverage of the team on it's media day, other than a 15 second clip of Gordon talking? | Lol its shite but that's why we have hornets sites I guess lol. Reply Back to Top |
Excellent question. I'll take the charitable and practical approach and say they are still trying get in order and would rather let the other media cover this well while they ramp up. No excuses come opening tip. None. Reply Back to Top

This has to be bigger than Brees' Jimmy Johns, and that got tons of press. Hornets247 is working on another guest from the org for the podcast. Maybe that will help. Reply Back to Top
WIST has been talking about media day for a few minutes now. Been playing clips of player interviews, etc. Pretty much what I expected WWL to do, since they are now the flagship. Reply Back to Top

Once the season starts they'll get plenty of coverage on WWL. They may never be on an equal footing with the Saints but that's not surprising. Reply Back to Top
Just, for the first time, heard a "countdown" commercial. Four days until they carry their first preseason game (Tuesday vs Bobcats). They did only mention 105.3 (NOT 870AM), which goes along with what has been posted about Hornets games only being on the FM station. Reply Back to Top
