Fresh corn or frozen? I get the short frozen cobs, lather in Tony's and butter, and throw em on the grill.

30 min is recommended but I often skip the soak and I think it comes out great anyway

Fresh

We typically take it out of the husk, season and butter it then wrap in foil, but wanted to try it in the husk this time

I don't soak

Just unwrap husk, remove silk, jerk off with olive oil or butter, pepper, wrap back on husk, and throw on grill

well, I've found the best way to spread the olive or butter evenly across the corn is to, you know, jerk the shite out of it once applied

Yea, I think I saw the naked chef do that once on his show.

Depending on how hot your grill is, it doesn't take long. It's easy to over grill corn. I always leave just enough husks to cover the corn with one layer. Turn often, just enough for it to get grill marks.
