quote: I may not know where they are from, but I would imagine you could pick em out in real life in about 3 minutes. Last night was a bit of a makeup call though. Hell the umps knew we needed the help. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I would say this was likely if it was in the same game, but you are talking about 2 different games. It wasn't even the same ump in both cases. I still think it was a legit call because the runner popped up obviously trying to interfere with the relay throw. Reply Back to Top |
| I assume it was a makeup call for the horrible non-interference call in game 2. Not really. The answer is that all of the umps were horrible. Reply Back to Top |
| Although it did not look like a bad slide, leg was up and his arse turned and he popped up sideways. A little more time and it would have been a cross body block. Good call, but the missed the one in game two when Jankos hand reached out and hit Nola's leg. Illegal. What is illegal is giving any of these guys scholarships with all the pop outs. Must be the DiMarini bats. Notice we crushed with Easton. Reply Back to Top |
quote: To me it comes down to rule number 4. Did Jankowski "kick?" His cleats were up and he slid through the bag, but I don't know what constitues a kick. After reading those rules, I lean towards it NOT being interference, but I am not an expert. Reply Back to Top |
quote: jankowski cleated our MIF twice. He you ever been cleated before? quote: apprently not quote: runners get away with sliding farther away from the bag in the bigs, but they dont slide spikes up like that prick did. also MIFs in the bigs dont even have to touch 2B on a double play, as long as they are near it. quote: If sliding spikes up was part of the game, alot more MLB players would be having having concussions from 90+ MPH fastballs to their face their next at bat. It's not part of game at all, you dont see that kind of stuff ever. It's bush league and dirty. Reply Back to Top |
| PM should have ordered a bean job on that POS.. Reply Back to Top |
| Why should he been drilled with a pitch and why shouldn't he steal? Reply Back to Top |
quote: WTF no it hasn't......if you do it you get earholed by the pitcher...most people don't want to get hit in the head with a hard round object flying at 90+ MPH. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Absolutely. When he gets to the minors he wont be doing that any longer. Reply Back to Top |
quote: he should have been drilled because he spiked our 2 MIFs on purpose. He beaned Cantwell after Jankowski tried to steal while up 5 runs in the 9th inning. It may have been a hit and run because I think the ball was fouled off. This post was edited on 6/12 at 9:36 am Reply Back to Top |

| Well now this is getting off track. I guess I need to see a replay. Did Jankowski actually hit Jones WHILE his cleat was up, or did he hit him with his shin? Was it a kick or slash, or just contact? This post was edited on 6/12 at 9:34 am Reply Back to Top |

quote: yes quote: I couldnt tell, but he clearly slid into JJs leg with his spikes up. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Definitely not more than once or twice. Reply Back to Top |
quote: which is part of why it is illegal in college ball. else, either a fight or a ball in the face, is pretty much required. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
