| Blanco did it years back. How a politician could make that kind of ruling is nuts. Dont know if its indefinite, but obviously still ongoing. Reply Back to Top |
| There is a lot of fricking stupid up in this thread, A LOT. [clearly, prior to my post, but I suspect it will resume] Don't feel like commenting on it all, just highlights... NO way the cable bill you are describing is $245... unless you forgot to pay last month. [seeing as how your wife pays the bills, this is likely] Every cable or satellite provider does intro pricing. [still wouldn't jump to $245] Yes, all of you are over paying for services you don't use. [re: internet streaming guy] Doesn't matter if you can afford the bill because you "aren't living in the dorm," you are still over-paying for shite you don't use. Frankly, I didn't get rich by wasting all my money on shite I didn't need or use just because I could "afford" it. Reply Back to Top |

quote: Please tell me you DVR and watch all the channels all the time. I'll be laughing thinking about you doing it, and actually, hoping that you do. But, hey, you "can afford it." Reply Back to Top |
quote: I DVR and watch several diff shows on several diff channels, in several of the diff cable packages, as does my GF. Of course I have to deal with channels I don't watch, I can't pick out single channels and make my own package. So please tell me how I'm overpaying. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Look at the shows you actually watch, and see if they are available another way. Odds are that they are. But, if you have one obscure show that can only be found on one specific cable package that you think is worth paying for, then power to you. I mean, you can afford it after all, and that is all that matters. Reply Back to Top |

| OP is full of shite. I have the same exact packages he has and my bill is 72.xx every month. 5 bucks says his wife didn't pay the last bill and now he owes for both months. I laugh at all these cox threads. I get a 15 dollar internet discount from LSU, but other than that, everything else is the price on the website. Somehow I pay half of what everyone else pays for the same shite. Reply Back to Top |

| frick cox. My bill was $85 when I first started paying it at my apartment. By the time I more out 3 years later it was $115. No warnings, no reasons, just $5 increase here or there every few months. Bastards. Reply Back to Top |
| 2-60 is the poor mans basic cable. I left years ago for directv. I did keep my broadband internet through comcast. Cheaper than hughes net, faster, and ive had it for 8+ yrs. Reply Back to Top |
| I have had Cox for over 3 years and 4 months ago my bill went from 237 to 271 without an explanation overnight. frick them and they could not tell me why it went up. Reply Back to Top |
