| So because you shot better groups with a 10/22 than you did with a bolt gun (while I'm sure you found the best ammo for each gun) then autos are as accurate as bolts now? Damn man, you need to spread the news to all the professional competitors. Dumbass snipers shoot bolt action rifles exclusively. Show them your 10/22 groups and open their eyes! quote: You ever heard of a Barrett .50 BMG sniper rifle? They ain't bolt action. Many snipers are also using AR-10s and M14s for sniper rifles. Just depends on the situation. Reply Back to Top |
| spend <$200, get a different brand reliable .22 accurate out of the box .22 and call it a day but if competition shooting is your thing then by all means.. Reply Back to Top |
quote: That's because it was designed for "sniping" big stuff. quote: quote: Let's just talk about situations of long distance and extreme accuracy. I guess I shouldn't have said "exclusively" or mentioned snipers at all. But you can argue all you want, semi-autos are not as accurate as a high-end bolt action. Can a semi-auto be very accurate? Yes. Are they more than accurate enough for 99.5% of real world use? Yes. But, if I'm setting up a gun to drive tacks, I'm not starting with a semi-auto. Reply Back to Top |
