My son went last summer. Rediculously crowded. $300 is nothing for an OT bawlers kids Reply Back to Top
Save the $300 and just let them eat grass from the yard. Reply Back to Top

What does he teach? How to run the same play over and over even if it's not working? Either that, or the option to the short side of the field. And to answer your question, I've never sent my son. This post was edited on 5/29 at 6:12 pm Reply Back to Top

No but my team put it on Les's son's team 36-6 two years ago at the Turkey Bowl in Mobile. His son Ben played tight end and he was on his back the whole time. I think they were the Prarieview Broncos or something like that. Team was well coached but didnt have the talent, aggression and speed we had. Reply Back to Top
He wants to do it so I'm popping the 300....first time he said that he really wanted to do something like this so.... He doesn't have OT-kid talent, but he is fast enough for Junior High football in Texas.... Reply Back to Top

Send him. It'll be a great experience. Then explain to him that with hard work and dedication, he could once again be in Tiger Stadium, except this time, it'll be ~100,000 screaming fans there as well. Reply Back to Top
You're talking about Prairieville Broncos and they play in the SLYFA league, same league my son plays in. What age group? I wouldn't gloat too much on that tidehater because the Broncos are one of the worst teams in the league and have been for quite a few years. Reply Back to Top

quote: We send our kids to camps every year. I have to pick up the tab and get donations for most of my players. We had a kid that went to Bama's skills camp and he got the award for best defensive player. He doesnt even start on my team. Come to find out his dad made a rather large donation to the school and had graduated there. Reply Back to Top |
Fwiw, If he enjoys it, we're having 3 youth camps this summer as well. June 11-15, June 25-29, and July 9-13. 100 for the camp. Of course, the level of coaching here at Belhaven probably isn't gonna be equal to that of at LSU, but it's still a chance for him to get some extra supervised practice in. Get techniques down while they are young will help tremendously in high school. Also, USM usually runs some really good youth camps as well. Just throwing that out there for you, or anyone else who might be reading. Reply Back to Top

quote:player. If I was a coach, i'd tell you to bring your son up for free and you and him could stay at my place quote:I'm not sure. Here's a LINK with some more info. Email me, 7thwardtiger@gmail.com and i'll give you my name and Coach Thrasher's phone number and you can ask him about it, and about working out something with either the school or the Cabot Lodge hotel across the street that gives out discounts to players families.
