| More anticipated viewing - Prometheus or TDKR? While I fully expect to be in the minority here (and understandably so given the hype behind TDKR), I am more excited to see Prometheus. Now don't get me wrong, I think TDKR will be incredible. That said, my recent viewings of Alien, plus Ridley Scott's return to the genre, make Prometheus the more anticipated summer movie for me. Does that make me a bad person? (Morals excluded). Does anyone else share my unbridled excitement? This post was edited on 5/16 at 2:41 pm Reply Back to Top |

| Prometheus. i know that there is a bigger possibility of this movie being worse than TDKR, but im still very curious about the story and how it's "not a prequel, but part of Alien DNA" Reply Back to Top |
| I am not really excited at all about Prometheus, unfortunately. Reply Back to Top |

| personally TDKR but not by as wide of a margin as I would've thought last year at this time Reply Back to Top |
| Prometheus, because i sort of know what to expect with TDKR. Reply Back to Top |
| I'd give The Dark Knight Rises only a slight edge. I think it's a combination of being a long time fan of the Alien movies and also not nearly being as jacked up for TDKR as I was for TDK. Reply Back to Top |
| TDKR by a country mile. Aliens is my favorite movie of all time, and I've had to really convince myself to get into going to see Prometheus. Reply Back to Top |
| Prometheus as a higher ceiling and could be the next cult classic Reply Back to Top |
quote:I am too. I feel like there are too many comic book nerds that have the marker cornered on TDK and Batman in general I feel like the Alien franchise/universe is a little more "mine" if that makes any sense Reply Back to Top |
quote: definitely. I feel like people are going into TDKR expecting "steak".... and even if they get the best hamburger in the world, they'll never be satisfied. that's the deepest analogy I've ever made. This post was edited on 5/16 at 2:50 pm Reply Back to Top |

quote: Yeah it seems like they've been making bat flicks every 2 or 3 years since I was a kid. I don't get excited about them anymore. This post was edited on 5/16 at 2:53 pm Reply Back to Top |
quote: It's actually different for me, surprisingly. I think it will be good but not great. But I haven't got the slightest clue about plot details outside of what is in the trailers, so it might be much better than I anticipate. I know even less about Prometheus, but I'm excited because everyone else is excited. Reply Back to Top |

| TDKR by a ton for me. I'm not really pumped at all about Prometheus. I definitely loved the Alien franchise and definitely want to see it, but I'm not necessarily "looking forward to it." And certainly not in the same vein as I'm excited about seeing it..whereas with TDKR, I am definitely pumped to see how that trilogy ends, especially given that the first two movies are so great. | Well color me surprised by the responses thus far. Perhaps the TDKR mob hasn't picked up the scent yet. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
