i find it hard to believe that they are poisoning them now. without some official documents, i don't think i would believe bubba and farmer john. Reply Back to Top
This will be bad, but not as bad as the dog hunting threads there. Reply Back to Top
| They do potentially carry all of those diseases. Less than 20% have Brucelliosis and those are in fairly spotty areas. They do not transmit any of them through snout-dirt-sucker-mouth contact though. As far as wearing gloves when touching them, it is a bit overrated. It will help prevent the spread of brucelliosis though. The meat is fine if cooked to 160 degrees for 30 min. It does not have to be WELL DONE as the poster there indicates. Kill em all boys! | I made $3 on a bet that I wouldnt lick the guts on a hog we were cleaning one night. Guess that wasnt a good idea Reply Back to Top |
It'd take a lot more than $3 for me Reply Back to Top
FTR, I have no problem cleaning and handling hogs without gloves other than the fact its hard to get the blood off prior to grabbing the steering wheel. Pretty sure I would not lick the guts though. Reply Back to Top
But it was 3 whole dollars. Reply Back to Top
