re: Lebron's MVP acceptance speech: I hate this guy a lot less now Reply Back to Top
What has LeBron done to merit hatred, again? Remember, he took less money to go to Miami and he's doing what he can to win a title. LeBron hatred is irrational. Reply Back to Top
Hate ESPN and David Stern for "The Decision", not James. Reply Back to Top
This is a good speech but Kevin Durant's NBA Finals MVP speech will probably be equally good. Reply Back to Top
Cleveland didn't put a team worth a shite around him. Blame your management, not him. Again, he took less money to go where he could win a title. Reply Back to Top

If he had gone to NYC nobody would have hated him - not even cleveland. It's THE basketball capital of the world and he's the self proclaimed "Chosen One". Reply Back to Top

He would have the same problem now if he went to any of the other potential teams. Bulls: Rose dominates the ball Knicks: Amare needs the ball to play well. He has the best chance to win in Miami, so what? ETA: They would have won last year, but ran into a Dallas team that was playing as well as anyone has in the last few years. Not to mention they play some of the best zone defense in the league and could negate him and Wade's driving ability. This post was edited on 5/12 at 5:45 pm Reply Back to Top

You could argue that he chose playing with his friends over playing with the best team. Didn't Cleveland have the best record in the league the two years before he left? So really it didn't matter where he went Reply Back to Top
FWIW, a lot of the reason LeBron chose MIA is because he liked the Pat Riley and trusted him to put a strong deal around him and continue that in the future. Riley presented him with a 10 year plan on how the team would be built and transition in the future to continue to be contenders. What did CLE do during their presentation to LeBron? Show him a 10 minute animated film about family and trust. One of these franchises is extremely well run, and the other isn't. I'll let you guys figure out which is which. Reply Back to Top
| If he really wanted to win "not 1, not 2, not 3.." titles, he would have gone to Chicago. Can you imagine that team with him on it right now? I think he wanted to win a title with his friends and enjoy his career, which is fine, because honestly he doesn't owe anybody a damn thing. quote: Why? 1) Rose made a huge jump during that off-season. No one knew he would make that kind of jump. 2) They also signed CJ Watson, Korver, Brewer, and Boozer during that offseason. They drafted Asik last season. And Gibson the year before that. Basically there was no way to know that team would make that leap. And that team wouldn't be the same if LeBron had signed there. quote: This. A large portion of people place a lot of emphasis on workplace atmosphere and enjoying the company of their coworkers. Why was Lebron as an athlete supposed to go to a place where he doesnt want to be and avoid enjoying being around his coworkers because they happen to be really good at what they do? Hes the one who has to go in there everyday to practice, has to travel with the same people all over the US etc. Might as well do it with your buddies. | lebron doesn't deserve mvp until he makes a game winning shot, at the buzzer, with 5 guys draped all over him, in the finals This post was edited on 5/12 at 6:27 pm Reply Back to Top |
