re: Avengers 2 Story Line theories *spoilers*quote: I know that military records are public knowledge. I know he is depicted as a national hero. I know he is presumed dead.It takes one reporter to pull public records to write an obit. It's not a great leap. quote: you are misusing the word naive, but you believe otherwise. quote: Beliefs, what beliefs do I have? Google public military records. quote: With that it's easy to track Steve Rogers as Captain America. He'd have an MOS as a performer, correlating with dates and places the Captain America show stopped. Being one of five maybe males in the cast and the only cast member to move into battle,as well as being promoted into an officer it's simple process of elimination (I linked the term, alter,so you might understand what that is). quote: except for Anchorman 2, alter. I thought you read multiple film websites, alter? This post was edited on 5/10 at 12:32 am Reply Back to Top |
| I want to throw in my two cents on the Wolverine/Cyclops bit a few pages back. I've always considered those two just like the Ninja Turtles. Wolverine is like Raphael in the sense that he is the best fighter but he could never lead. Cyclops is like Leo in that he is the obvious leader and a great fighter, but not the best. I think a one round fight between the two would be a good match up as long as Cyclops kept Wolverine away. If they had a huge grudge and kept fighting till one would die Wolverine would win that. He'd eventually get Cyclops. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Well Wolverine can't really die, so yeah. I do like the analogy though. Cyclops is a lot darker than Leo though. Hell, he leans more towards the "Magneto" way than Xavier ever did. Cyclops beams are pretty fricking powerful, too. Reply Back to Top |
| I haven't read comics for quiet a few years so I don't really know the direction they have taken with him. Damn right those beams are powerful but if Wolverine has one cell he can regenerate. I did wonder if maybe they had fought when wolverine had his adamantium ripped out by Magneto what could happen. If you didn't vaporize everything he'd still come back. Also, when his claws would break they would grow back stronger. How much breaking would it take to make his claws as strong as adamantium? Total nerd question there. Reply Back to Top |
quote: quote: That's not logic, that's assumption. quote: He was part of the military. He was approved by the doctor, but he filled out the same paperwork as everyone else, which means he got paid by the Army, which had him listed as a E-1 initially then a jump to an O-3. He had a bank account where he was getting paid. This isn't hard, alter. quote: Redundant sentence is redundant. quote: Sounds like you don't grasp the concept of numbers. A kid signs up, A kid gets paid. quote: For a guy who hasn't read comics since the 90s you are quite possessive of the MCU. Especially with a DC handle, alter. DC stands for Detective Comics, BTW, where Batman hangs out. quote: Okay so that would just leave you, alter? This post was edited on 5/10 at 12:53 am Reply Back to Top |
quote: Well, depending on writing course, Wolverine can have his head cut off and eventually his body would find it. He's had his adamantium ripped out, but only to have put back in, later. That's why Hulk vs Wolvie is close to the creme de la creme in a no holds bar in the MU. Reply Back to Top |
| Wolverine and Hulk would more than likely have to be taken out like Doomsday in DC. Nothing can survive the end of time...or a really creative write I guess. Reply Back to Top |
| Getting out of hand. Reply Back to Top |
| This thread is wy off track. The avengers will not pull in wolverine or the x-men for that matter. Because then the avengers movie line would be acknowledging the existence of all mutants, and that opens a very large can of obnoxiousness. Reply Back to Top |
| They aren't doing civil war this argument is pointless. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I hate Cyclops Anyway, Wolverine is one of my favorite, but I think Hulk would take him out. In that case I just think Hulk is too much to handle. I think The Thing would be a better fight for Hulk. Also, speaking of Avengers, I wouldn't mind adding Black Panther or Moon Knight. Black Panther is almost Marvel's Batman while Moon Knight would be entertaining cause he's crazy as shite. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I agree. There's no way this story happens. Reply Back to Top |
quote: hulk would destroy Thing Thing has super strength but its nowhere near Hulks Below are the official Marvel bios for The Thing and The Hulk The Thing The Hulk The Thing is Strong but he cant get stronger. Hulk gets stronger the more mad he gets, which means he potentially has no limit to his strength Hulk is also much faster the only way the Thing even stays in the fight for a little while is because he retains his human intelligence Reply Back to Top |
quote: Eh, it would be a good place to take it. Not THE story but some, more condensed version of it. The only problem is is quite a dark story. I don't think RDJ's Tony can go that far yet. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I never said Thing would win. I just said I think he'd be a better fight than Wolverine. quote: Hulk can too, so I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. This post was edited on 5/10 at 9:57 am Reply Back to Top |
quote: it would be a better pound for pound bout the only thing is that a fight between the hulk and wolverine could potentially last until the end of time not saying it would be entertaining to watch tho... it would make for a long arse movie Reply Back to Top |
quote: This is why I don't think it will happen. Marvel's all aboard the more classic comic approach of good guy smashes bad guy. Then you throw in the Thanos cameo which signifies more cosmic adversaries and that's a pretty far reach to thinking they will do any kind of hero civil war. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I think Hulk and Wolverine would be more entertaining also. I just think Hulk could break Wolverine into a million little pieces and at that point it wouldn't really matter. Sure he has a healing ability, but how long would that take to heal? Months? Years? Thing can at least be a little closer in the strength department. And damn you for showing me that marvel site. Now I'm gonna be on there all day Reply Back to Top |
quote: I agree with this to a certain extent. Wolverine is a fan favorite, but I'm not sure if I'd call him a good guy considering the stuff he does or has done. They even made Magneto look good for an entire movie, so I wouldn't be surprised if at one point they tried Civil War. 10 years ago I never thought there would be an Avengers movie or a Batman movie worth a shit, but here we are.
