re: **OFFICIAL** American Idol Season 11quote: quote: But I may need my good friend Gris on here for live real time support when they reveal the votes. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I'll see what I can do about that. I do worry about you being alone. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I dress nicely. Well I think so. You have already told me that my polo and khaki fashion was boring or something like that. Im just not the type that will ever wear "trendy" and high fashion clothes. I'm a button down and khakis. Polo shirts with either khakis or jeans or shorts with boat shoes or dress shoes kind of guy. That's why I am a little judgemental towards "high fashion". Reply Back to Top |
quote: Preppie. I like that, but I get bored with it when I walk into a room of a bunch of guys dressed all alike. Sometimes, a little variety is a good thing, but that's from my point of view. I feel the same way about going to a party and seeing a bunch of girls or women in sleeveless, collarless shifts, for lack of a better term, and a string of pearls. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I'm pretty sure I will be okay. I have friends that would love to see my reaction first hand if she ends up getting voted off. I will probably end up watching with them. You always make me question myself if i am actually crazy Reply Back to Top |
quote: Tell them to take a video. quote: There is no question. However, I'm starting to question myself as much as I've been talking to you about this. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Well if it makes you feel any better. I, personally, dont think you are crazy. This is a lot of fun to me. Definitely some fun discussion. Some of it ridiculous but this is enhancing my viewing of the show to a certain degree. Im going to head to sleep. Wish i didnt have to because i am a night person and love to read and watch tv late night but that doesn't work all the time when you have to be at work very early Night Gris. Reply Back to Top |
quote: You may be in the minority. quote: Yes, it makes it more fun. I think I told you that I do a little "live" blog that I send to a group of friends who watch. They respond under my comments in a different color and we go back and forth several times on the days after performances and results. Been doing it for some years of watching. Makes it fun for us. They all live in in other cities, so we can't watch together. Hope the day doesn't come to soon for you and that you get some sleep before the show. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Yeah, you mentioned it a while back, I think that it really cool. I bet you provide some great analysis in that. Who are your friend's favorites from who is left? Sanchez seems to have received a huge boost last night from the west coast voting period according to dial idol. She was hovering around 4th and 3rd for much of the east coast voting period. She is now shown to be way out in front. One of the biggest "leads" so far this season. Dial idol has called her safe tonight. But remember, they called skylar safe last week. So you never know. But everyone was a lot closer in number last week according to dial idol then they are this week. Joshua is showing up in 4th. With Hollie at a distant 2nd and Phillips close to her at 3rd. I think Phillips is going to be without a doubt safe. If not, it will be one of the biggest surprises on the show ever because of how strong he has been. Plus he had a good night last night so that couldn't have hurt him. I hate trusting dial idol but bebe has such a big advantage on there from last night that I just have to believe she is safe. I believe this will come down to Hollie and Joshua. Two really good friends. Just like last week when it was down to Hollie and Skylar. The only way josh stays is if he wins the text vote. He needs a huge push from the text vote in order to overtake Hollie's combination of phone call ins and texts. I don't think either will have a big advantage in online voting. I think josh goes home and the judges meltdown. This post was edited on 5/10 at 8:29 am Reply Back to Top |
quote: You rang? P2 slayed Volcano last night Josh was a beast but I am worried about his marketability. Bee, your passion for Hollie has persuaded me to pull for her. The judges hate on her way too much. Bebe is talented but I don't know where the hell she gets the attitude from. The alter ego really turned me off and the way they dress her is ridiculous. Hopefully Bebe is gone Reply Back to Top |
quote: I disagree about his marketability. Think about it, doesn't everything old always make a comeback? He could resurrect that old music like James Brown, Otis Redding and Sam Cook. I'd listen to the hell out of that. I agree with you on Sanchezs attitude. I just dont like her. Reply Back to Top |
| Yeah but the stars would have to really align for him to bring back that style. Half or more of the audience watching this show doesn't know who those artists are. Hell, I couldn't tell you a time when I listened to them and I'm 26. You can't deny the talent, just not my style and I think a lot of people will feel the same. Reply Back to Top |
| A few comments about last night: 1. I was actually going to get online and post with y'all during the show, but my kids wanted me to watch Spiderman 2 with them so I watched AI on DVR later. 2. I never told my wife about Gris' comments about Joshua's clothes. During his first performance, my wife said "I think I have that blouse and jacket". 3. As y'all said, everyone I know hates Sanchez. If you could vote against a contestant, she would be gone. However, you can't underestimate the Asian and Hispanic vote (that's a ton of people). A thing I saw a while back said that she gets the most Texas votes every week despite the fact that it's Hollie's home state. The Messican vote is strong with her. 4. Round 2 was one of the best rounds of performances ever on the show. That actually hurt Hollie because she was good while the other 3 were great. The judges were overly critical of her as usual, but that fact may actually help her. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Our weak enforcement of border security is coming back to haunt us. Sanchez will be safe. There is almost no doubt in my mind on that one. I hope for a miracle that she isn't. I just can't see her being in trouble tonight. Would be glorious though. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Yes it would. Reply Back to Top |
| Phillip and Hollie in the bottom two, hopefully Phillip goes home. I'm not interested in watching someone literally die on stage, that boy needs a hospital. My Order: 1 Josh , 2 Jessica, 3 Hollie, 4 Phillip My Favorites: 1 Hollie, 2 Josh, 3 Jessica, 4 Phillip Reply Back to Top |
quote: There's more humor than there is strick analysis. I can't repeat some of what we say on here. quote: In order: P2 Josh Hollie NOT Chez-she doesn't even make the list. quote: I'm not giving up hope unless they call her safe. quote: I don't. It really isn't relevant with all of the text and online voting. It used to be sort of a guide, but even that is gone. quote: That's what I think based on voting, but I certainly don't agree with it. quote: FIFY quote: I honestly don't think there's a chance that happens. Not this week. I think there could be a chance it happens next week, though. Reply Back to Top |
| just got a text from seacrest he said hollie is out tonight Reply Back to Top |
quote: Better hope Bee doesnt see this. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I always knew you were an im-potent person. Bee needs to brace himself more than ever this week. Pre-results show cocktails, zanax and maybe even a rubber room, along with having his psychiatrist on call. Gonna be a rough night. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
