| Has there ever been a Jonestown movie (non documentary) Posted by Al Bundy Bulldog I'm watching a documentary on the History Channel 2 on Jim Jones and the Jonestown massacre. I'm just curious if there has ever been a movie made about this event? It seems as if it would make a great movie. Thoughts Reply Back to Top |

| I played Bass in a band years ago called Mrs Frazier. We had a copy of the tape where Jones is talking to his followers during the drinking of the poison. At the end of the tape he states "And now we will hear from Mrs Frazier" and an old lady begins to sing. We would use this tape to open our shows and cut it off as she started singing. A lot of people used to ask us who was that on the tape. Hence the name Mrs Frazier. Reply Back to Top |
| I heard the actual audio from that when I was way too young, and that stuff scarred me for life. And TideHater: that is messed up! This post was edited on 5/9 at 7:41 pm Reply Back to Top |

quote: I still remember when it came on the news when the U.S. networks finally got a hold of the footage. I was just a kid, but man it was really surreal. All those people on the ground, families arm in arm. And the footage from the airport showing the killing of the congressman and his aides and the reporters. Crazy shite. Kind of prepared me for shite like James Huberty (McDonald's in San Ysidro, CA; David Koresh; Heavan's Gate; etc.). Let me know at a young age that there were nuts in this world (although I lived next door to a Vietnam vet who didn't have a good go of it in the jungle . )Reply Back to Top |
