Yes, apparently.

Probably because such a thing would not be politically expedient.

at the suggestion of her actually winning.

I'm glad that you are trying to find fault, fraud, or foul in this action.

However, recently some of their children wanted to exercise their eligibility for dual-citizenship so they went through the process as a family,” said Bachmann spokesperson Becky Rogness.

Sorry, kids, you can't do that. Mommy is in the GOP and we can't be seen as America haters who want to flee to a country that has universal healthcare.

Especially Switzerland... a country that basically has Obamacare as everyone is required to buy private insurance.

With one major difference. In Switzerland, they cut out the middle man: your employer.

What a novel frigging idea.

I hope Bachmann goes to Switzerland and learns everything that is wrong both about the status quo here in American and the equally stupid idea to have Medicare for all (the liberal solution).

We could learn a LOT from the Swiss, but not what the liberals think we could...

Or conservatives... meaning the Swiss Civil Defense force, which is fricking awesome.

How regulated is the Swiss medical industry?

No baseball in the Olympics anymore, brah.

And I don't know if the Swiss ever had an Olympic baseball team.

I cannot speak to their regulatory framework, but I do know that some of their lower costs have to do with a less-than-American enthusiasm for surgeries. American doctors throw your arse under the knife whenever they can.

Oh, I'm pretty sure the insurance companies have to provide a specified set of services in their basic plan that all citizens are required to buy (mandated).

And the whole national vs. state level argument (regulation, mandates) doesn't matter much in a relatively small country like Switzerland.

I ask myself that same question every time you post.

You walked face-first into that one.
