re: US Soccer Roster Discussion (for May/June 2012)quote: Buddle is on awful form right now. I doubt it. If he gets called up and Wondo doesn't then something is fricking wrong. They are both in the same league and Wondo is killing it where Buddle is twiddling his thumbs. quote: Meh. he has three goals 2 came in his first cap against Australia in a WC warmup match. Meh. | Where are Stu and Davies in fitness at the moment? Reply Back to Top |
| Stu is still hurt and rehabbing. Davies is playing for Sochaux Reply Back to Top |
| Decent form? Reply Back to Top |
| Not really, Last year he had 11 goals for DCU but most of them were in the form of penalties. He isn't getting a lot of PT with Sochaux I don't think. Last I checked. He has to move on IMO. If not his career is over, then again I don't know if it didn't end after his wreck. He kinda lost that swag and hasn't found it sense. If im not mistaking, Bob Bradley is the one who told him to start playing again at the MLS level. Because CD9 wanted to know what he could do to get back to the USMNT Reply Back to Top |
| Sochaux might release him from his contract at the end of the season as a favor. Davies should have swallowed his pride and signed with DC after his loan spell ended, but he got in a spat with Ben Olsen when his playing time diminished toward the end of last season. He needs to go back to MLS or Sweden, where he'll at least be a squad player. Reply Back to Top |
| Molde, back to Hammarby (Gregg Berhalter would take him), or any Belgium team. ETA: You know speaking of Norway and Molde. .. I wouldn't mind seeing Josh Gatt getting a call up. Molde won their league and he was a huge part of it. This past year. This post was edited on 5/8 at 11:07 pm Reply Back to Top |
quote: Wondo actually has 11 in 10 matches. Thierry Henry is in second with 9, Kenny Cooper is third with 7. Chris Pontius is in fifth with 5. He's a guy with a ton of talent, who could definitely be an international quality striker if he could stay healthy for a season. His most impressive quality is being able to make space and unleash powerful shots from outside the box with either foot. | Wondo's team played the RedBulls recently? damn, sounds like a fun game given the scoring tear these teams are on, wish I would have watched it. Reply Back to Top |

quote: That was Chris Pontius' DC. San Jose did play New York about a month ago. It finished 2-2. Usual suspects bagging the goals. Reply Back to Top |
