| Recommendations on fine dining/good food in downtown Memphis and or Beale St. Posted by Geauxldineye Going to be passing through Memphis in a few weeks. Spending the night there and am looking for suggestions on some great restaurants/bars in the Beale St/downtown area. Not looking for super high end. | The Beauty Shoppe- went there last fall. Actually is an old beauty parlor and still has the chairs With the cone dryers. Great, funky atmosphere and the food (esp seafood) was very good. Moderately priced- about $18 per entree. Reply • Back to Top |
