Places to eat in vegas. Posted by Drew Orleans F&D, give me a list of the good places to eat in vegas. Let me know if they are places I should look into as a nice dinner, casual dinner, regular meal or quick bite. Also what type of cuisine it is, the relative price and their location. Thanks, I've never been and I'm trying to get a list of all the places I need to try while there. Reply Back to Top
Now that the Music Board has become a reality, I really think the next board should be "Las Vegas". *And you really shouldn't offer up any suggestions unless you've been to LV in the last 24-30 months because Vegas changes so damn much... Reply Back to Top
Booked a room at the Cosmo last night. Hope it lives up to expectations. Reply Back to Top

The hotel and casino is a dump, but Circus Circus actually has a terrific steakhouse, especially for the price. I go there everytime I'm in Vegas and have never had a bad meal. Go with the porterhouse steak. Menu This post was edited on 5/8 at 8:21 pm Reply Back to Top
Casual: Holsteins-Damn good burgers and spiked shakes(right at the Cosmo) Holsteins I ate this place twice last month. The Sugar Factory American Brasserie: GF loved this place. Has real food that's good. Specializes in drinks, retarded good shakes, and ice cream sundays. Imagine these on Steroids. Lunch: Mon Ami Gabi @ paris hotel. (ask for a table on the outside patio) Mon Ami Gabi Go inside Paris and ride the elevator up the Observatory deck after. Nice Dinner: Todd English's Olives@Bellagio(Arrive early for reservations, sit at the bar and request a table on the private patio overlooking Fountains) Olives Eiffel Tower Restaurant @ Paris(Again ask for table overlooking fountains) Eiffel Alize @ Palms (ask for a table on the window at sunset Joel Robuchon @ MGM (pricey, but worth it) Joel Robuchon Late night cheap or Casual: Secret Pizza Joint at the Cosmo (2nd floor beyond the pool tables, hidden in the hallway) If you are going to do the obligatory vegas buffet, know that there are only two worth the $$$. Wynn and Bellagio. Go with Bellagio. Lunch 20/per Dinner 30/per. Go hungry. Reply Back to Top
quote: Harrah's offers a 24 hour pass to any of their buffets at 7 different hotels for $50. LINK You can get it for $40 or less if you look for a deal on it. I thought it was just ok, but it does give you a lot of options and flexibility for a decent price if you aren't looking for fine dining. Reply Back to Top |
Prime steakhouse in the Bellagio is fricking awesome. They're extremely proud of their food, but we had a phenomenal meal there. Also, Battista's Hole in the Wall is an Italian place about a block and half off the strip, down from Bally's Casino. Great food, good service, very cool place with an old school, crazy eclectic vibe. We had a great meal there too. I recommend both places. Reply Back to Top

| I went to a lot of the casual joints in Palazzo/Venetian, but they were all just normal. Most were over-hyped there and we went due to ads everywhere (ex: Sushi Samba was everywhere.. even our hotel key). Dos Caminos - I watched the LSU-Tenn game here. It was pretty good and pretty inside, but I just read online it closed. Sushi Samba - Again, absolutely beautiful atmosphere. I love the trendy places with loud music and stuff. But we spent an ungodly amount of money on meh sushi and were still hungry. Skip it. Sage (in Aria hotel)- my birthday dinner. It's a French restaurant by Shawn McClain. One of the best meals I've ever had. Seriously outstanding. GREAT deal if you're wanting to do an upscale dining night without breaking the bank. It was an upscale place, but their 5-course tasting menu was $79/person, which is great for Vegas upscale dining. We didn't do the tasting menu, but definitely wouldn't have minded. | I know a lot of people love burger bar, but the burger at wolfgang puck bar and grill @ MGM is probably the best hamburger I have ever had. Reply Back to Top |
I have been to Vegas a bunch and have eaten at quite a few places. For me the general consensus is that most places do not season their food at all. I have eaten at the steakhouse in the Circus Circus that the poster above mentioned and even though they have been voted the best in Vegas numerous times, I don't agree. Don't get me wrong, it is very good and reasonably price for how good it is, but just not seasoned. For me that's disappointing. For me there are a few good places though: In the "Encore" there is a Chinese/Japanese restaurant(with a huge red Dragon on the wall) that is killer There is a Trattoria in the MGM Grand that is good but the bar has it's own Bourbon humidor that is frickin awesome Definitely try In-n-out burger!! and last but not least The Palace Station - I have not had a bad meal in there and have eaten at every restaurant in there. Their steakhouse called "The Broiler" has the best Lobster and Steak I've had in Vegas and most important, all the restaurants there believe in seasoning their food. Their Mexican Restaurant is great too. Reply Back to Top
I ate at Delmonico in Vegas and it was wonderful. Some other place I will have to remember the name and get back to you was also really good. And in the Wynn, where we stayed, we ate at the "clubhouse" or something like that one night and it was good too. So many good places to eat there that you won't have any problem... quote: The Palace Station is a dump. The neighborhood is not especially nice either. If you must go to a Station Casino, then go to the Red Rock. Reply Back to Top
It's not really a dump, it's just off of the strip and old. I have stayed there because I got a room for $39 a night and the rooms are clean and updated and the gambling is better than the ones on the strip because it has to be to draw people. It's a big place for locals so you know the gambling is good. But the best part about it is the restaurants Reply Back to Top
You are correct about the Red Rock and Green Valley though. they are the best Station resorts. But seriously, you can go to all the glittery and hyped up places that are $15 minimum tables on a Tuesday and go eat at their high dollar restaurants and put salt an pepper from the table if you like, but for me I rather go to a place where the food taste good enough to not add anything and I can play a $5 table even on a Saturday and win more than those other places. I am, by no means, saying you should only go to Palace Station while in Vegas. I love to stay at the Paris and Bally's b/c they are in the middle of the strip and very nice places to stay. I do love eating at Mon Ami Gabi(or however you spell it) and that is a great restaurant too. I'm just saying, if you have a night where you don't have much to gamble, money-wise, so you want to make it last. Go check out the gambling at the Palace and eat at the Broiler. You will not be disappointed by the meal and you may win something on the tables. This post was edited on 5/9 at 3:47 pm Reply Back to Top Refresh
