| re: Calvin Godfrey Signs w/ LSU (Basketball) Coaching change? Players often use that as a reason to get a fresh start elsewhere. Not always logical, but it happens. There are over 400 transfers and growing this year. Reply Back to Top |

quote: thanks to the guy for his contributions but he's the worst player I've seen don an LSU uniform in ANY sport. Reply Back to Top |
| Agreed. We are completely serious when saying Del Piero has no skill whatsoever. Reply Back to Top |
| everyone says its good to practice against him but I'd be willing to bet Stringer running around with a broom raised in his hands would be more difficult Reply Back to Top |
| I can see him being good for Hamilton to practice against because Hamilton was only going over, not around. JOB, Storm, and even Malcolm would just go around him. Reply Back to Top |
| T-Time didn't start every game. Started 21 of 32 and that was towards the end of the year where he agreed to come off the bench because he played better (and they gave him free reign). He avg'd 25.9 MPG. LINK This post was edited on 5/7 at 9:50 pm Reply Back to Top |
| It really is sad. Has there ever been a more overmatched person on any LSU team ever? not that I can remember. When I think about that fact, I realize how DESPERATELY we need a center in this class. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I said it was after he cracked the starting line up. Pretty sure Lazare started more at the beginning of the year. I don't remember him not starting towards the end unless he was injured. yeah, once he cracked it he only missed games bc of injury. he didn't start the first two tourny games bc he was still recovering. never sat out for any other reason once he became a starter unless I skipped over a game somewhere. just went through the box scores This post was edited on 5/7 at 9:58 pm Reply Back to Top |
quote: I'm sorry, was my sunshine pumping actually anticipated? I was kinda behind on this signing; didn't hear about it until 4ish. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I think this is being really overblown by some. As I've stated, we haven't had a true center outside of Hamilton in an eternity. O'Bryant and Godfrey are easily big enough to man the frontcourt. Reply Back to Top |
| I'll concede that JOB and Godfrey are more than capable, and I have all the faith in them; but as far as depth goes, you have to see that we aren't in great shape when foul trouble comes into play. JJones has impressed me thus far and I can't wait to see what or who he has up his sleeve next Reply Back to Top |
| Yeah depth is a concern if we don't get another guy like Odoh. Reply Back to Top |
| Yea but if we are playing up tempo ball like jones said in his pc you'd think our guys would be in better shape, which may help to mask that depth issue (hopefully) Reply Back to Top |

quote:I don't think it works that way. I think that, if you run the whole game, you need more depth, not less. And as I said earlier in this thread, right now teams will just take the ball to the rim to get JOB and Godfrey into foul trouble. We aren't a tournament team unless we get Odoh or another big. | I think TT started towards the end of the year, but he came off the bench at the beginning. I remember Brady saying something about not tiring him out or something lame like that. Anyway, that's my point. Brady didn't start TT (The #4 overall NBA pick) to start the season. Les played Jefferson to end the season. You never know what these coaches tell kids or what they are thinking. Reply Back to Top |
quote: first 8 or 9 Lazare was starting. We didn't REALLY know what we had in Tyrus until the UConn game and that was into January. Tyrus was not supposed to be that good Reply Back to Top |
quote: Yeah, I remember him coming in and playing limited minutes and all that at the begining. Not saying JOB won't start, just saying that CJJ didn't recruit JOB, he did recruit Godfrey, JOB's may not be conditioned for an entire game of up and down the court style we're going to and that you just never know with a new coach. Just saying that Udoh and Godfrey may better suit CJJ's style of play is all. Although all three would have to play signifigant minutes with lack of depth for the bigs. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
