| Admin, please delete...a new one will be started tomorrow on release date Posted by Lynyrd I have been watching a lot of videos lately in anticipation of it's release on Xbox next week. I was under the impression that it was simply an open sandbox type world to craft objects and build, which it perfectly fine by me. I've come across a few videos lately that make reference to "beating" the game by killing an Ender Dragon. I did not know there was an ending. They were also going to make a portal that was not a Nether Portal to go there. Is this just a mod like the Aether was or can you actually beat the game? | Hopefully not. I am assuming that all the mods and texture packs and what not may not be available but I am still looking forward to it. Reply Back to Top |

quote: Have you read up on it at all? I have and I think it will be just as fun as PC minus the fact that you can mod on PC. I don't mod so that doesn't bother me. Reply Back to Top |
| So once he is killed, can you continue to do your thing in the world or would it be better to start a new one go again? Reply Back to Top |
| You can continue Reply Back to Top |
| Awesome. I'm looking forward to this game Reply Back to Top |
| yeah, you kill the ender dragon, credits roll, then you continue Reply Back to Top |
| And the dragon is not in the Nether? It is somewhere else? Reply Back to Top |
| I will probably never kill the damn dragon. I like to work on a place for a month then restart. Gets a bit boring to me after being in 1 place too long, though my most recent world I had playing with 4 friends got super ridiculous with some just incredible structures. Killing the dragon supposedly gives you a ton of XP and then you just keep playing so no real ending ever. Reply Back to Top |
| You have Earth, The Nether, and The End. You spawn and survive on Earth. You can make your own portal to the Nether. Only real reason to go to the Nether is for resources you can't get on Earth. To get to the End you have to locate a Stronghold (not easy to do) and have enough eyes of ender to activate the portal and then locate the dragon to kill it. FYI...speculation is that the release on Xbox will may not have all of this right away. It will be a beta release much like Minecraft was for so long and they will add it all over time (fairly quickly from what I have read) to get it caught up 100% to the PC version. | I think Stout was saying that on Xbox we should be able to have a few people on each world so hopefully we can get some good things built. I'm not very artistic so I may spend most of my time under ground Reply Back to Top |
| 8 people can be in a world at the same time on Xbox. That is confirmed. Reply Back to Top |
| That will be fun then Reply Back to Top |
| The real challenge of the game is building structures that aren't phallic images. Reply Back to Top |

| You should see what I am building right now. It's a huge monster spawner/trap. It will automatically kill the monster as they spawn in and I just collect the loot. I hope we can import our PC maps into Xbox cause I have a cool one complete with a full functioning village and about 30 villagers in it roaming around. Reply Back to Top |
| I've seen some of those mob traps. Some are pretty detailed. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
