LSU vs. Alabama 100% a night game this year? Just want to double check before purchasing a plane ticket. Is it for sure at night or is there even a slight chance it could be during the day? Reply Back to Top

I sure wouldn't count on it. If I were making plane reservations I'd sure make allowances for it to be a day game because you never know. Reply Back to Top

I thought I remembered part of the deal struck last year was that this years would be a night game as well but I wasn't sure. Reply Back to Top
I thought Alleva said they guaranteed it in exchange for last year? Obviously, "guarantees" are subject to change though Reply Back to Top
I mean it can be a night game. It probably will be. On the off chance that LSU and Bama start the season out barely above 500 or something like that, then you might worry. But I'd say unless hell freezes over, you're safe to assume it's at night. But it is only an assumption, albeit a safe one. Reply Back to Top

quote: If I understood the deal correctly last year, CBS really wanted to do the Nov. 5 game but Bama wanted it at night, so they "sacrificed" their 1st choice option to do the game between the two this season, so I think ESPN will pick it up and do it at night. I think it's a safe bet that it'll be at night. Reply Back to Top |

I had a friend in Hawaii book a trip to LA for the rose bowl a few years ago. All because it was a done deal LSU would be in it. If we lose a few and Bama loses a few, I wouldn't bet on anything. Reply Back to Top

Per the arrangement to put last years game in primetime. CBS committed to a 7pm kickoff in primetime in Death Valley. Reply Back to Top
We all know what they said but there is no contractual obligation a year in advance for that. Alleva just made a big deal about it so people would leave him alone. Reply Back to Top

CBS is stupid. They will probably show Fla and A&M instead. They get one night game a year (I think) and have never broadcast from Tiger Stadium for that night game. Bunch of idiots! Reply Back to Top Refresh
