| They seemed to focus on her dementia and her relationship to her kids and husband and barely mentioned the things she did as PM. I felt they portrayed the best woman politician ever in a bad light. | I know. I remember that war well and thought the Argentines (and the media) completely underestimated Great Britain in general and Margaret Thatcher in particular. There was a good program about this war on the Military Channel the other night. However, the Latin Studies professor kind of pissed me off by referring to the Falklands and the "Malvinas." | I saw a piece of that on the military channel the other night. The brit commander in the falklands had been on the job 3 days. He was told to defend the islands against the Argentine armada and marines using his 80-person detachment which he promptly went about doing. Reply • Back to Top |
