| that's all I ever see when they argue their point around here...It's Racist or Racism Couldn't be that the person was bad(travon)or bad for our country(BHO) They would make Jesse and Al proud... Reply Back to Top |
| Absolutely. I would take a picture with the current President Obama or any past POTUS. I was not a big fan of George W. Bush, especially in his later years, but I would be completely honored to take a picture or meet him or any POTUS thus far. I hold a deep respect and love for the Presidential position and any man/woman who holds that position, whether or not I necissarily agree with their political or non-political ideologies. I think it is so easy for people to judge the POTUS and act all hard and say that they would do this or that if they ever saw them or just simply not take a picture with them (which the ladder is fine by me, I can understand), but to no hold a certain respect for the POTUS is hard to for me to grasp and unfortunately many people I have met do not. I certainly do not agree with many of the stances that the Presidents have held since I have been alive, but I would still be completely honored to have met them, shook their hand and maybe even gotten to of taken a picture with them, regardless of our differing stances on our outlooks on life and etc. The POTUS can never satisfy everybody, not even close obviously, or even one individual in every belief that individual holds, so I just try to keep that in mind as the POTUS is who the majority of the United States of America's great citizens voted into office whether I like it or not. Respect to the President, yo. Off my little soap box. God Bless America. Reply Back to Top |

quote: I was wondering this myself. It does not seem as if the young lady in the picture is doing anything disrespectful. She just seems happy, excited or flabbergasted to be meeting/taking a picture with President Obama. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Well, that is any politician which is why I don't get as excited about the prospect of having a picture taken with one as some others may. Reply Back to Top |
| Only politicians I give the time of day to are the ones I meet at town hall meetings...and that is just to remind them what is expected of them... Reply Back to Top |

| Thanks for the link rickgrimes, but I still do not understand why the photo went viral. I mean, that pic is way cool for that chick, and I like how Obama popped into that dive and took a picture with a seemingly normal middle class young female, but what reasoning behind it makes it worthy of going viral? Is there no significant meaning behind it? I would think that President Obama takes many pictures with many normal folks over the years, but then again, what do I really know. Just speaking aloud I suppose, and found this slightly interesting. Anyway...... Geaux America!!!!!! Reply Back to Top Refresh |
