| I am sold on the Pelicans. I really like Pelican logos being shown on this site. You have to the Mardi Gras colors (purple, gold green and white). The only problem is that those four colors tend to clash a bit. That why I always liked the former New Orleans Jazz uniforms cause the primary colors were purple and white with small touchs of green and gold. Geaux Pelicans. If not call em the Swarmin Mosquitoes! | Really like the: Nights- black jerseys Skyline logo flashy like the Heat Surge- So what we have had green wave it stuck Navy/ Fleet/ Captains- Obviously we identify with the river/lake Brass/Beat/Blues-probably the most generic but viable Knights- use the Jackson statue outline behind the lettering Really hate: Krewe- sounded good at first seems like a rec league name has no mass appeal. Mardi Gras colors need to be left alone. Pelicans/Gators/ Crawfish/ VooDoo- Less than generic....lazy. No appeal Angels- hokey....no need to pair our two teams by name. Bishops is a little better. Crescents- come on that's not a thing. I would be for using The Crescent City _______. Like golden state. Let's hope that marketing guy they hired is better at this than we are. Reply • Back to Top |

| It's funny, every one has a different opinion. I've never liked the "feeling/concept" nicknames as opposed to living thing nicknames. What is a "Jazz"? What is "a Surge"? In other words, there can be no singular. There is no such thing as one "Jazz" or one "Surge," conversely, you can have one "Pelican," and multiple "Pelicans." An individual player can be "a Pelican," but can he be "a Jazz," or "a Surge"? That said, I can live w/ "Krewe." I can live w/ Pelicans.
