Cameron took a solo trip 7 miles down into the Mariana trench with finding to come. This is pretty amazing. I can't wait to see the findings and documentary that he makes

James Cameron is like a mad scientist. It's ridiculous. I'm with you. I honestly can't wait to see this footage, which will probably be in IMAX or something.

Just reading through this and thinking, he has literally gone.. where no man has gone before, and brought back fricking video with samples!

How this isn't front page news is beyond me, but I guess that is the times we live in.

Actually, he's mostly doing this for "Avatar 2".

Hopefully that thing has plenty of room for specimens and samples... I wonder what it cost to build that thing?

I remember when they brought in Cameron, and Costner, about the spill. First I knew of either being so cutting-edge in some oceanic regards.

Amazing what Cameron has done underwater the last decade..pushing the limits.

I had no idea he was that big into marine stuff... One of the articles says he is already planning future trips.. This could be the end of the deep "unknown"

He stated this like 9-10 years ago I believe, he always been really big in marine exploration. I don't care if he is in it for $$$ or not, the fact is that he doing something no one else has the ambition and connections to do right now

Very cool, but the deep ocean would scare the shite out of me. Troubleshooting would be a sonuvabitch.

The good thing is if you can drop your ballast, you can get back to the surface.
