| How will the 2011 football season be remembered 20 years from now? Posted by Rex Manning I think this will partially be determined by if we cash it in next year or not, but I think down the line we'll appreciate the 2011 team maybe a little bit more than we do now. The way it ended is still on our minds and will be until we get back out on the field. It's always going to sting a little but I really hope people grow to remember that team for how good they were and the 13 great wins they gave us rather than focus totally on the one loss.Reply Back to Top |
| I'll think of it like I think of the 2006 team. Reply Back to Top |
| I'll always appreciate the team, but that abortion of a championship game will always be a dark cloud over a special season. Reply Back to Top |
| I'll have fond memories. The schedule we played, finishing SEC play 8-0 and winning the SEC Championship for the first time since '07 outweighs the utterly disappointing loss in the BCSCG. For me. It sucks for sure, but this was a great team that was a pleasure to watch on defense and ST. Reply Back to Top |

quote: You kidding, right? ANY LSU football team that gives me 13-1, 9-0, #2 NR'ing, and a BCSCG appearance gets a freaking ton of apprecation from me! Damn, we got a lot of butthurt, entitlement rich thinking going on. Reply Back to Top |

| I'll remember all the way up to and including ATL...then plead ignorance. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Agreed. I also agree with the poster who said I'll remember it like the 2006 team. Especially if we follow it up with a NC like we did in 07. Reply Back to Top |
| Great team on the verge of one of the greatest seasons in college football history. I will always remember how it was ripped away from them with the worst gameplan in the history of college athletics. Nice job Les. Great offensive mind you have there. Reply Back to Top |
| Considering that you are always butt hurt about Miles, it wouldn't have mattered if we won or not January 9th when it comes to your opinion. Im pretty sure you would be bitching about something else. Reply Back to Top |
