First there was the Harvard Prof., and now we have Trayvon....

is there a racial situation that isn;t media skewed that Obama won;t weigh in on?

I mean, as a racial uniter...you would think he would have learned from his "teachable moment" THE FIRST TIME, and waited for all the facts to come to light before running his mouth.

quote:

Zimmerman's father, 64-year-old Robert Zimmerman of Lake Mary, delivered a one-page letter to the Sentinel on Thursday, saying that the depiction of his son in the media has been cruel and misleading. George Zimmerman is Hispanic and grew up in a multiracial family, the statement says.

quote:

"At no time did George follow or confront Mr. Martin. When the true details of the event became public, and I hope that will be soon," the letter said, "everyone should be outraged by the treatment of George Zimmerman in the media."

Do you think Obama is stupid enough to forget his own "teachable moment"?

Obama's intelligence isn't the issue.

Obama is a political animal. He's shamelessly playing to his base, just as he did in the Harvard prof/cop situation.

Post-racial president my ass.

Obama had the opportunity to call for calm and due process. He chose to continue revving up the lynch mob.

just like the harvard Prof...this will blow up in his face.

Then we can have another beer summit, and a teachable moment...AGAIN.

What a clown, he disrespects the office he holds everyday.

Is there really that much more to the story? He shot and killed an unarmed teenager who was doing nothing wrong. There is really only one explanation as to why he may have felt threatened.

Why are conservatives trying so hard to write this off as a non-racial motive on the part of Zimmerman?

because the media is portraying this as white on black racism, instead of hispanic on black, most likely.

actually there is...like an eyewitness who saw Trayvon on top of Zimmerman, pummeling him, and called 911.

I know that doesn;t fit the narrative, and I apologize for the witness for not realizing in advance that such information was contrary to the narrative.

Innocent until proven guilty, unless you're accused of a hate crime and the media will pounce on you like wolves and ruin your life, the city police's lives, the district attorney's lives, etc. How quickly we all forget about the Duke Lacrosse scandal.

It's a natural reaction to what is yet another attempt by Lame-Duck Barry to create a social-issue during an election year for the purpose of stirring up his base. He is shameless. He only cares what this boy looks like to the extent it allows him to inject himself into the situation for political purposes.

Why are Libs trying so hard to spin this as racism on the part of Zimmerman?

Why has this become a political divisive issue? Why is this a national issue at all?

A lot of people weighing in on this one:

quote:

I have sat back and allowed myself time to assess the current episode revealing itself in Sanford, Florida involving the shooting of 17-year-old Treyvon Martin. First of all, if all that has been reported is accurate, the Sanford Police Chief should be relieved of his duties due to what appears to be a mishandling of this shooting in its early stages. The US Navy SEALS identified Osama Bin Laden within hours, while this young man laid on a morgue slab for three days. The shooter, Mr Zimmerman, should have been held in custody and certainly should not be walking free, still having a concealed weapons carry permit. From my reading, it seems this young man was pursued and there was no probable cause to engage him, certainly not pursue and shoot him….against the direction of the 911 responder. Let’s all be appalled at this instance not because of race, but because a young American man has lost his life, seemingly, for no reason. I have signed a letter supporting a DOJ investigation. I am not heading to Sanford to shout and scream, because we need the responsible entities and agencies to handle this situation from this point without media bias or undue political influences. This is an outrage.

it al boils down to accountability .

Think about that word, that term for a few seconds.

Now,each and every person in the nation knows that no liberal has ever had to be accountable for anything. What does that get you? A fricking yard pass on any issue, anywhere, anytime.

It's a good thing that Allen West is involved in the investigation and is privy to all the statements, and evidence the police collected in this case.

I'm sure his close personal relationship with the DA and AG in Florida is allowing him unfettered access to the primary evidence of this case to decide for himself

There are hundreds of stories he does not weigh in. These just happen to be the only 2 you've heard of. Can you share what other race related issues he has "weighed in on'?

He has actually gone out of his way to not get involved with alot of racial issues. A large portion of the black community feels he has not done enough to address some of their issues.

and they were poorly chosen.

He got his head handed to him on the first, and didn;t take his TEACHABLE MOMENT advice in weighing in on the second.

He is the president of the entire UNITED STATES. Not just the black people.
